Ingenious and excellent accommodation which you wouldn’t know was there from the front of the property. Everything needed was there and the excellent breakfast was delivered exactly at the times requested. Host was approachable and knowledgeable about the area.

Is a beautiful little apartment connected to the bigger house. Private and has every thing you need. The host Kate was fantastic. Real treat for breakfast when the hampers arrive.

Absolutely superb accommodation in a self-contained annex in a safe and peaceful location backing on to the countryside. Lots of thought put into every detail. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Well equipped bathroom with toiletries provided. The "kitchenette" area has a table and chairs, fridge with fresh milk and water plus a microwave and a kettle. Good selection of refreshments with teas and coffee provided as well as crockery which is useful for the continental breakfast dropped off at the door in the morning. This comprised warm croissants, pain au chocolat and toast as well as a range of orange juice, cereals, fresh berries, and yoghurt plus conserves. Loved the home-made marmalade! Quiet patio area was perfect for eating out if dry. Thank you, Kate, for a really exceptional home from home experience.

Beautiful suite, tastefully decorated with great quality bedding and towels. Really comfortable, private but close to the main house. The suite had everything we could need, and breakfast was delivered to the door in a couple of picnic baskets. Absolutely wonderful, with a brilliant host

Fab. Lovely greeting from the owner who helped make our stay as relaxing as possible. Comfortable room, warm in winter, and a nice terrace for summer. Close to the m5. Driveway is hidden, so parking is discreet off the road. Near to the tiverton canal and byways so good to hike, bike and explore. Breakfast was great with attention to detail and sourcing of ingredients. We were stuffed! Yay!! Overall, it was a great place to chill out and relax.

We enjoyed everything about this stay, hosted by lovely Kate. A cosy cottage addition to the main house, with window door opening on to a country lane (short walk to pub). Excellent bathroom, tea coffee facilities. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous. Delivered by Kate, in a cute wicker basket laden with goodies. Croissants, home made jams, cereals, yogurts, fresh orange juice. Would definitely stay again.

The Orchard Guest Suite is designed for comfort, privacy and was immaculately clean. You get your own private entrance with direct access to parking and a lane for walks. I was only staying as a one night stopover whilst on a long journey but it’s also perfect for longer stays where you can visit more of what the local area has to offer. Kate was the perfect host and was able to recommend local pubs and restaurants. A 10min walk to a Dog Friendly local pub where you were made to feel very welcome and who served up a fantastic Bangers n Mash. A superb continental breakfast was delivered to your door that was fresh and included warm pastries and even some home made preserves. I look forward to returning.

There really wasn’t anything not to like

Very spacious and beautifully designed. Well laid out , extremely welcoming and comfortable. Very quiet , which for us personally is always welcome due to our hectic lives. Very very clean I put this as I know people like to the cleanliness. Private entrance which made me feel more secure as I worry a little . We had breakfast each morning which was wonderful and there was more enough for us . The owner Kate was welcoming but not intrusive , engaging but not over bearing. She was wonderfully attentive but considerate . I was worried to be honest about how the dynamics of this set up would work as in , will we left alone or not . I honestly can say for someone that has only ever stayed in hotels this for us was excellent and we would most definitely stay again if welcome when we return to Devon. If I could give more than a score out of 10 I would. For Anyone who aren’t people persons or have social anxiety I can promise you the orchids Is peaceful, quiet and welcoming without the over bearing hassle of a hotel. Everything was superb and we thank you for having us at your beautiful place. Truly perfect and could not find fault with anything thank you .

Nothing to dislike

Separate suite with patio doors. En suite. Microwave and fridge. We had a dog and gate at back with dog walk in open green area. Well cared for outside with lovely pots and enclosed space. Good communication with owner. Breakfast 5* home made jams etc. plenty milk provided in fridge and toiletries in bathroom.
