We loved the site! Everything was well thought out and environmentally conscience. A real offgrid, back to nature retreat. Ren, Betty the dog and the hens were all so friendly and welcoming.

Everything about Rens place was absolutely fantastic/ amazing interesting and fun place to stay / chilled out /relaxing and great to get back to basics even though Rens place is far from basic / the VIP lounge amazing space to just sit back and and unwind / the toilets and shower a wonderful experience/ the chickens and ducks early morning wake up call ( but not to early👍) and the whole experience and Ren is a lovely person helpful and the salt of the earth (and not forgetting the duck eggs for breakfast in the mornings ❤️❤️)

    Absolutely nothing to dislike

Exactly what it said on the tin. All sustainable, felt quiet and safe. Not far from Newquay at all. Ren cleans multiple times a day to make sure it’s as clean as possible. Ren is warm and hospitable, always ready to help.

Loved the chickens and ducks running around, didn’t love the poo that comes with it though. Can’t really have one without the other so there’s not really a lot to change. I’m not a compost loo fan, it’s just not for me personally however I will say it’s the cleanest compost loo I have ever seen.

the only downside is there is no signal at all the toilets were compost toielt which is okay to not ideal other than that the campsite was amazing

Ren is the most lovely host! The moment we arrived she welcomed us with open arms and immediate smiles. She showed us round, gave us Cornwall tips and trix, great locations for a meal and/or a drink and answered any other questions we had. The camp sight is wonderful. The tents are warm, waterproof, spacious and comfortable. The toilets are maintained and changed daily, and the shower is always hot. There's lots of cooking facilities, and everything you'll need to cook, be it the gas stove, or the BBQ, it's there, and maintained. The intricate details dotted around are what make this place so special, so go and discover its wonders for yourself, enjoy! And thank you once again to the amazing Ren, we will be back!!!

The only downer was a lot of bugs and flies in the kitchen area, which is fully seasonal, but perhaps during this time, some citronella candles dotted around would help to keep bugs away from foods, just to give that extra feel of cleanliness alongside a well cleaned and maintained sight

Wow, what a hidden gem! We were in need of a one night stop over and this place ticked all the boxes, we wish we could have stayed longer. Ren and her gorgeous dog Betty were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The tent was spacious and comfortable, we had a great night sleep! The facilities were clean, tidy and exactly what you need when staying off grid! we loved the communal kitchen! Overall the whole experience was 10 out of 10 and we look forward to coming back in the future! Ps. Thank you Ren for the duck eggs!

From the minute we arrived, our host Ren was brilliant. She greeted us warmly and explained the whole site to us. As we had read the write-up beforehand, we understood the toilet was a compost toilet and that this was an off-grid campsite. The site met and even exceeded our expectations. I felt so relaxed during our stay, and we were close to everything we needed. The local pub was amazing and offered great value on food. We would definitely stay here again! – Julia
