Cooked breakfast, in my opinion, took too long. Coffee machine kept running out of milk. Rather than putting full bottles of milk into the machine part bottles were being used. I asked for cups, they never came.

The time it took to serve breakfast, 2 out of our 3 day stay we waited for well over an hour but after saying that the food was good quality and worth waiting for, the waiter was very friendly and helpful, I think maybe most of the guests may have arrived for breakfast at the same time and they were a bit overwhelmed, food cooked fresh to order also.

Central to places we wanted to visit, lovely, friendly staff, good food, very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again

The shower and sink are within the main bedroom area making the room feel more spacious, however that also means that there isn’t much privacy.

Was very noisy as we went on civic day didn’t realise till after I booked when hotel sent a message to let us know .

Bathroom layout was a bit weird with the shower being in the room and not really private. It was fine for our group as it was a family (myself, husband and young son) trip but would be a bit tricky if it was a friend's/colleagues trip. It was also really tricky to fill up the kettle in the room due to the shallow sink.

Easy parking close by, lovely breakfast very accommodating staff. Nice clean room. Quiet in the room itself considering it is above a loud pub.

Paid for breakfast, but it started at 8,was told by staff that I could go down at 7 and have cereal, coffee and toast but there was no one there to open, so left with no breakfast, very disappointed

Very welcoming staff. Very friendly,helpful and polite provided 1st class service. Located on the corner at top end of town on main road but absolutely no noise pollution in the bedroom. We had the Junior suite which was very well laid out and spacious. Chilled with drinks in afternoon in the bar and also dined in the bar at night. Food was excellent as again was the service. Evening entertainment was good and bar was mostly populated by locals who were all very friendly.Breakfast was again very good. Big breakfast is exactly that and sets you up for the day.

The hotel doesn’t have aircon and the fans provided are very poor. My initial room was too hot to stay in (especially with a dog) but the manager was able to locate another room which had more windows and was bigger, so a bit cooler & more comfortable.

The property was a great location to explore Dumfries & Galloway. The bar area was lovely and the beer garden looking over the river was beautiful. There is a free car park directly across the road as well as shops close by.

Uncomfortably warm in the rooms, and windows don't open far or give much draught, but they clearly know this - sheet rather than duvet and every room had a fan in the wardrobe. Shower cubicle directly in the bedroom, but didn't cause issues.

As we stayed only the one night everything was fine thank youn

The welcome when we arrived was good, the room on the top floor was accessed up 2 flights of stairs, there is no lift, the view out of the bedroom by the river and out to the hills in the distance was very pleasant. The facilities in the bedroom were good, The breakfast was served in the restaurant on the first floor or we could have had it on the ground floor after 09:00 so quite a choice. The cooked breakfast we had was superb and very large cooked and served by Jack and Sean who were a real credit to the hotel their attention to our needs could not be faulted and enhanced our dining experience.

The bar/restaurant was geared up for locals people, which is great, just not for us two older ladies! No noise though.

Really well reconfigured. Immaculate decoration. Very clean.
