Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaParking could be tricky.
It was comfortable and clean. Tracey was great with suggestions of where to go, places to eat and other general information. The location was quiet and very handy to major tourist destinations. The railway station was fairly close as well. The supermarket was handy but it didn’t stock much fresh food.

United KingdomOnly thing perhaps a firmer mattress on the bed, but this is perhaps based on our own preferences and the mattress is good for others
The room exceed expectations, so comfortable and thankfully not cramped

United KingdomThere was nothing that I didn’t like about the property.
The property is a lovely, peaceful, detached property. It was bright and airy. It was very clean and had courtesy toiletries and washing up stuff. There was also a breakfast basket with tea, coffee, cereals, milk, butter and jam. The location was perfect for us.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
The location was brilliant both for Monkey World, Dorset (about 12 mins in the car) and Lulworth Cove (about 15 mins in the car), We also travelled on from Monkey World into Wareham which is very much like Cowbridge in Wales. The roads are great, wide and well maintained. Interesting to see the odd tank run past the main roads on its way to the tank museum, with L plates on the back! I parked on a gravel area just in front of the main cottage for our three night stay, all was safe and quiet. The Piggery was very clean and well maintained. We used the little kitchenette daily and did pasta etc in the microwave. Nice touches with milk and cereal portions, pastries supplied for breakfast. Very charming and quiet and great to have our own little patio/garden area. Weather was hot so we used the fan provided. Spar up the road was well stocked and opened late. There is also a Sainsburys in Wareham and a couple of pubs in the village itself. Spoke with Tracy on arrival who was lovely and welcoming and provided us with information for local attractions. All very well thought out for visitors.

The Piggery was very comfortable, well decorated and with a very pretty private garden. We appreciated the fresh milk provided in the fridge and little breakfast extras.

United KingdomThe only things we could have done with was some shower gel (+ shampoo/conditioner if we’d been staying longer) and a hairdryer would’ve been very handy. I think they were both mentioned as being included when we booked, but it was honestly such a minor thing, we picked up a cheap shower gel from the local Spar so all good!
Really lovely place for a short break, quiet and tucked out the way but at the same time, very easy to reach via train (as non-drivers this is usually the main factor when we’re trying to find somewhere.) It was so cosy and comfortable, we could happily have stayed for more than two nights! We didn’t get super lucky with the weather but because of how comfy and warm it was at the property, it was part of the treat to be able to stay somewhere lovely and relax when not out and about exploring. So lovely waking up in a comfortable bed with a high ceiling above us. Loved the little touches of decor overhead / on walls and the welcome basket was so sweet too. Hopefully we can come back sometime in brighter weather and get to enjoy morning coffee in the little garden too :) The black book with lots of recommendations and info for getting about was so so helpful; we got a bus to lulworth cove / Durdle door and it was brilliant to be there within 10 or so mins! Wool itself is very quiet, which is also not a bad thing at all (we visited off season so it may be very different in the summer months!) and the pub recommendations were great. We had a lovely meal at The Ship as well as visiting some of the other places recommended for food and drink in Lulworth + Durdle Door. Tracy was great at communicating before and during our stay, and was very accommodating in terms of our check in and check out times which made it an even better experience :) thanks so much!

Loved how clean comfortable and quiet it was. It was in walking distance to a few nice pubs, and 4 miles to Lulworth cove which was why we booked in Wool. The information pack that Tracy had made was a great addition, full of facts to make your stay even better. The breakfast welcome basket was a lovely surprise and very welcome after a long journey the day before. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

United KingdomTracey was a very welcoming host who had left masses of useful information about the surrounding area for both those with and without a car as well as a small breakfast hamper. The room was spotlessly clean and exactly as shown. Location was quiet, easy to park at and made an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area,

United KingdomAn allocated parking spot would have been beneficial. The property was not blackout so the room was light from around 5am. The TV was small (which was only a minor issue). The bed was too soft (personal preference). Not much to do within walking distance.
