The bar was large, but pretty minimal - no draft beer, just bottles and no ice! Apparently due to open a steak house shortly?

Tap water is clearly marked as not suitable for drinking. There is just the one bottle of water provided per room which is not adequate. Barely enough for two hot drinks, and cleaning teeth. I dont have an issue with the tap water not being suitable for drinking but given cost, two bottles of water should be provided. Likewise only two tea bags provided in the room. Any further supply is chargeable !! The additional cost of providing four tea bags, coffee, decaf coffee etc would be minimal. Most guests would only have one or two drinks so not all sachets provided will be used anyway. Finally the hot water temp is way too high. Again there is warning sign in bathroom about water being hot, but is was so hot from the tap that there was a risk of scalding.

Second time staying here. Room was as expected, clean, comfortable, Check in/out procedure was ok. Olympia on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom needs refurbishment

For the price point this is a real gem. A small ensuite double is really generous in terms of size, very comfy bed, quiet room, good amenities and clean. The only thing that needs improvement is some upgrade to the bathroom but it's a minor point.

This property was conveniently located a 4-minute drive from The Barn at Berkeley, where we attended a wedding. The room was really comfortable and Sofia from the front desk was excellent. She very generously helped me print out some paperwork I needed for the wedding. Would recommend to those who need accomodation in the area.

We were asked for a code but had not received one by the time we arrived but we had been traveling all day and didn't have wifi access.

The hotel is going through some renovations. We stayed one night and the room was very comfortable. We didn't miss that there was no restaurant or bar. We had eaten prior to arriving. Renovations are very nice a restaurant and bar will be a nice addition for those staying longer than one night.

There is NO FOOD at hotel but that is made clear when booking. So we went into nearby Dursley for a breakfast. There was a kettle in room but only 2 tea bags. With no breakfast service would have preferred at least 4.

It was all that we wanted for an overnight stop over in same vein as other short stay hotels like the purple group, green & white group etc. Clean, quiet, functional. Beds and linen in our room #11 appeared to be new. Bathroom had very good shower over bath with small tubes of toiletries. Olympia on Reception was friendly and helpful.

We booked a small double room which was not large enough for us as the bed was against the wall. The staff were very helpful and arranged an upgrade to a larger room. The hotel has just been refurbished so is lovely and clean. The restaurant and bar are not complete yet which is reflected in the price. We were told everything should be finished and open by the end of August. We had a lovely stay once the room was sorted out.

To be honest nothing at all! everything I needed and expected for my short stay!

Having reopened only a few weeks ago following a major refurbishment, the new owners are clearly intent on providing quality accommodation at a great price, staff were all extremely friendly, Yes there are a few rough edges to resolve in terms of providing a breakfast service (not currently available) however the room was comfortable, clean and provided a great nights sleep, clearly a lot of money has been spend in renovating this hotel and I can't wait to revisit it again in the future, couldn't fault my stay, Excellent.

Really need the next stage of the refurbishment with bar and restaurant onsite Initial impression from the outside view and the lack off fully manned reception did not inspire us with confidence on arrival, but the actual accommodation and standard of accommodation is very high so the negative should be considered with the expectation that once full opened this would not be a concern. Price was a little bit high taking into account the lack of onsite services Need decent size glasses not thumbsize in the room.

Obviously newly refurbished and room, only. Everything was in pristine condition. Plenty of hot water for the shower which was high pressure.

Booked this last minute (Within an hour of me turning up there), although it had no bar or restaurant facilities is was an excellent find for me whilst in the area. Plenty of parking, staff were amazing, room was clean. Bed was really comfortable and modern. Will definitely be using this place again.

The bathroom requires additional modifications. There is not way to fix the shower head to anything above you, meaning you have to hold it with your hands. My parents found difficult to control the water at the right temperature. It was either too cold or hot.
