Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt is very basic, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. If you just want to be somewhere warm and dry and not pay fortune. It’s perfect.
It is in a great location. Especially if you’re walking the south-west coast path the staff are very friendly. The sheets were clean it was a comfortable bed. I enjoyed my stay.

United KingdomWe knew there was no en suite when we booked but down a flight of stairs and shared with 3/4 rooms was a step to far for me and the toilet was tiny if your tall or wide you wont fit !

CanadaThere was no breakfast. The room was small and being on the top floor was difficult to reach for me with my suitcase. The bar below was audible until closing at 12 AM. There was an openable window but no thermostat for the heating. Because there was no WIFI, I was unable to contact my airline.
The basic amenities were there (coffee, water, tea, milk, sugar). The room appeared clean and adequate for one person. The room certainly has charm. The small TV was the standard for Britain, so this provided a basic level of entertainment.

United KingdomWasn't enough supplies for hot drinks like sugar and milk. There wasn't any information in the room about the WiFi or WiFi password. There was a constant bleeping noise from smoke alarm, easy fix as Electrician as wired it wrong so the rechargeable battery inside would only be charged up when the light is on, needed to be wired to constant live so battery will get charged all the time so no bleeping then. Room was at top. For me not a problem with stairs, apart from lack of headroom due to the roof, I am 5'6" and just about managed to go down middle of room where light is but had to bend down or on my knees to do a drink or goto bed.
I liked the location of where the railway inn was located, very close to the railway, bus stops, town and beach front.

United KingdomThe top floor is not a room for tall(ish) people. If it's the only single room they have, they should advise customers that they will spend half their time hunched over, to avoid smacking their heads on the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and lopsided. I couldn't turn off the heating and that tiny room was cooking until I got the (small) window open. The automatic lights do not come on when you leave the room. Only when you're on the level where the toilets and showers are. That can be quite dangerous.
The fact that I could open the window.

United KingdomPub was lively, lots of fruit machines, sports screens and live music, it might have been noisy in the evenings on 1st floor rooms. The toilets and shower cubicle were on first floor down steep steps.
It was good value for money, clean and comfortable, and the landlord and lady were friendly and helpful. Down a quiet alley, very close to beach and centre of town. Our room was a bedsit style with kitchen area, microwave, fridge and and hob. It was on 2nd floor and very quiet.

United KingdomNo long stay parking nearby and not having an ensuite room but this is reflected in the price. The decor was a bit dated and stairs were steep
It was good value for money and reasonably well equipped room. It's OK for a 1 or 2 night stay but the lack of an ensuite bathroom was a downer.
