Lovely flat, well equipped, clean, comfy beds, met our needs well. Park across from flat and fields for dog walks, and river walk also. Lovely village, and close to coastal villages. Definitely would return.

The throw in the twin bedroom was grubby and some of the grout in the shower was the same, but apart from that it was very clean.

Location was great for touring the area. Good access to the main road, but far enough away to be nice and peaceful. Well equipped kitchen. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Had everything we needed.

maybe cushions, lounge blankets and master bed sheets could have been washed, a bit grubby and we washed sheets ourselves. just a heads up to the owners otherwise, very clean

Home away from home. great base if you want to sight see. great pub across the road, grocery stor, butcher, fish and chip shop. lovely long walks along Esk River. calm, quiet and just what two busy professionals from Australia needed.

Village was spotless. Accommodation very good..2 hotels very nice for food and drinks. Tuck inn great takeaway or sit in.sinclairs larder very good food.butchers.2 shops. And a lovely wee charity shop run by locals who were very nice..we had 2 dogs its great for dogs.plenty nice walks and a big park at your doorstep. We went to montrose. Arbroath and brechin and had a great time. Thank you

The road outside the property is a main road with lots of tractors going past. That was a little bit noisy with the windows open - I dont think there is anything that can be done about that! I was glad that farmers were doing their job because I know they are having a terrible time at the moment. I think the housekeeping forgot to put a sheet on my bed because I only had a mattress protector but we all forget things and it was still comfortable and didnt affect my sleep.

I liked the look and feel of the Ramblers Rest. The wooden flooring and doors had a great appeal for me, the furnishings were very tasteful and thoughtful . The Bed was really comfortable. The hot water was very efficient. The property was so handy for everything within walking distance. Andy and Gill had a left a few goodies in the welcome basket and some milk in the fridge - it was a lovely welcome. One of the reasons I chose this property over others was because of its own private outside area with table and chairs. That was a great suntrap late morning / early afternoon.

The light through the blinds in the twin bed room interfered with sleep through the night from the outdoor street light. Heating timings were still on British summer time so coming on and going off early.

Lovely accommodation with all that you need. Really comfortable and plenty room. Very cosy. Location is great, easy parking and beautiful scenery. Nice places to walk and eat in area. Hosts very friendly in email communication.

Not a dislike only a note if you have trouble climbing steps you should consider that it is necessary to get to and from the apartment.

It was very nice and the hosts were proactive and immediate with all requests. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location amazing, really peaceful during most of the day, and right across from the Panmure Arms - which is a good pub for takeaway. There are good living quarters, and the kitchen is well-equipped.
