Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFridge in the room was humming intermittently, so I switched it off during the night.
An attractive and characterful pub/restaurant in a beautiful, peaceful location with rooms above. Buzzy and busy downstairs, but still quiet in the bedroom. Nicely decorated and furnished room with very comfortable bed. Got an excellent night's sleep. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great pub with tables outside; high quality food in the restaurant.

United KingdomLovely room, very peaceful location especially as the pub closed at 6 on the night we stayed. We used the pub garden to have a ‘picnic’. Plenty offered in the room for Continental breakfast.

United KingdomIt was a shame the restaurant wasn’t open but they recommended another pub which did some nice food and was only 5 mins away.
Room was a good size with a large shower, it had everything we needed including a continental breakfast at a good price. Staff were also very helpful.

United KingdomThe replies to messages in the bookings app. Unsure if they were being received and ended up causing confusion about which room we should have had.
Peaceful night. Looking out of the window at 3am, not a sound. Like time had stopped. A rare moment of peace in a frantic world.

United KingdomUnfortunately we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. It was continental but felt it lacked a bit. 1 small box of cereal each, one of which was cocopops, which to me is a child's cereal. Then 1 muffin and 1 pain au chocolat between us. Few pieces of fruit. Didn't enjoy eating it in our room either. It may be that we are spoilt by cooked breakfasts in a dining room when we stay away usually. This is the first time we have had breakfast like this.
Size of the room and bathroom were good. Food in the restaurant was excellent, as were the staff. The pub is at the start of a small village. There is nothing in the village, but we enjoyed a walk through it, as it is very picturesque.

United KingdomRoom don’t get looked at on the first morning, second morning bins got emptied and we were asked if we wanted clean towels but teas/coffee not replenished nor beds made or tidied. On the 3rd morning we were asked if we wanted juice for breakfast, previously the breakfast, although nice, was sort of thrown at us. On the 3rd morning different staff and the girl waiting on was so lovely and helpful!
Lovely pub with rooms. Nice room, large bathroom, bed far too soft but that’s my personal preference

United KingdomWould be nice if you could pre order cold food like a cheese platter that could be put in the fridge if arriving later. I might have liked a cooked breakfast for the price and location, but the in room offering was good and convenient too. Some paint work in the stairs and upper hallway are noticeably worn, giving a slightly shabby first impression. Time for a re paint. But the room itself was good and spacious.
Parking Nice cool spacious room Bathroom and shower were modern and good. Breakfast was good and easy Fridge silent Good food available if you can get there in time Location, whilst a bit further out for us, it was near Daventry and that was handy for us getting supplies. Whilst a little expected road noise in the morning with the windows open, it was quiet overnight and I slept well and comfortably. Value for this specific time of year was very good. The property had high ratings so whilst it didn't exceed the rating, it met the rating.

United KingdomI liked every thing.
We stayed for one night at this lovely village pub. The room was on the corner of the property and we had gorgeous views across the countryside. The room was comfy and welcoming. We stayed on a Sunday night and were initially a bit disappointed to find the restaurant closed early on Sunday. However this was not a problem as we had been notified in advance and the helpful staff member recommended an equally lovely pub where we could eat just a few mile down the road. The breakfast is a continental breakfast provided in the room.

United KingdomCame to stay for a friends wedding near by. I arrived a lot earlier than my check in time and had to get ready before the allocated check in time. The staff were very helpful with this where a lot of hotels wouldn’t have been so accommodating. Lovely peaceful location although it was a short stay clean comfortable well presented room. Followed by a very nice well needed English breakfast.
