The accommodation was ideal for the event we attended location and they let us check in late.

I didn't eat here so I cannot comment on the food, I stayed for one night and the room was clean and modern .

I had no hot water for the shower .

It was bright and clean

Clean , quiet area , decent size rooms , nice surroundings , nice building

Very cheap room for these parts: clean enough, comfee bed good shower and perfect for my simple needs. Nice Indian meal in restaurant.

Communication beforehand was difficult : and no check in possible till 2 pm ( I had a midday function locally to attend) All in all decent tho…..certainly for my needs thanks.

Cleanliness and helpful staff

Very old accommodation that wouldn’t suit if you like modern, but despite that very clean, perfect non busy location, plenty of parking, helpful staff and restaurant on site .

No breakfast available. Evening meal was superb

Room5 needs an upgrade with decor it had a tired appearance about it . Bed was comfortable and had clean bed linen . No hand towels in bathroom and bath towels were old looking and frayed and didn’t have a clean smell. We went and bought our own hand and bath towels in a local supermarket something I have never had to do in any hotel .

It's easier to get around if you have a car while staying here. The house is a bit old, but still clean and offers great value for money.

Just what was required for one night's stay

I don't usually bother leaving a review, but this weekend we had a poor experience from the owners, so thought others could benefit from this. We stayed here last time we had a family party locally...I would avoid it if you can. We had 3 rooms and everyone had the same thoughts...rooms not clean / smelled, beds not comfortable and staff not friendly. Booked for another family party this weekend, but due to illness didn't need the rooms...so went to cancel almost 3 days before earliest check in as the booking said free cancellation until 2 days before arrival. Booking.com said we had to request the cancellation for a free refund as the "2 days notice" actually starts 2 days and 15 hours before earliest check in time...I called the owner who said we needed to request it through booking.com which I had...He said when he received the message from booking.com he would cancel the booking and call me back. Neither happened. Very unprofessional / money grabbing behavior.

Avoid - Rooms not clean...staff not friendly

Everything. We stayed here three nights last week and another three nights this week, there is nothing to dislike about this place. This will be our first option in future visits to this area of Yorkshire. The rooms are small but not claustrophobic, newly refurbished with ensuites that are magazine quality, far better than I could ever afford in my own home. The hotel is situated about half a mile south of Easingwold in a wooded area and the bird song on an evening and morning is fabulous. Wi fi is great and everything in both rooms that we stayed in is new and high quality. The staff are great, very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. The restaurant is superb and we ate in on our last evening. Both our meals were great and would be difficult to beat at any price. I am desperately disappointed that we didn't eat here last week. I have to question the motivation of the 'guests?' that have left negative reviews, non of their negative comments coincide with our experience.

Absolutely nothing.

We were touring the area on motorbikes and the staff provided us with a secure area for the bikes overnight. The staff were all lovely; very attentive, courteous and just really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, we were provided with a fan because we arrived in a heatwave. The hotel has a restaurant below the rooms, and the food was absolutely amazing; we both enjoy Indian food and this was just the best we've ever had. Massive thank you to all the staff who made our stay so comfortable.

The room was nice although small. Nice comfortable bed and a lovely modern bathroom. The Indian restaurant served excellent food.

Great all round stay. Room great for £60. Very comfy beds , clean bathroom and bedroom. Some marks on walls but didnt detracked from our stay. Would stay again.
