The fire doors banged and kept us awake until after midnight. It would have made the world of difference. Perhaps adjusting the self closing mechanism? Let me know if done & I’ll rebook in the future

We absolutely loved the accommodation (selected as a stop off near Box Hill on our Pilgrim's Way walk- there are regular buses to the accommodation from opposite the Stepping Stones pub, Box Hill). We had a lovely room with a view of the church - such an idylic village and accommodation, we were quite bowled over! Food was great in the evening too. Very helpful and friendly hosts. We are looking forward to visiting again. Staying here was a highlight of our holiday.

The noise. As it’s an old property I was in a room at the front over the entrance and it was impossible to sleep through the noise. Next time I stay, I could only be in the back rooms.

We loved it all!

We stayed in a superior room and it was spacious and full of character in keeping with the building. Bed was really comfortable and bathroom was modern. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.

It was a little pricey. We had to pay an extra £20 for the dog which we weren't aware of when booking and breakfast, although very lovely was quite expensive as a service charge was added.

We movement sensor light in the room due to the steps by the bathroom. This triggered every time my husband rolled over I think it just needs adjusting.

Because I only stayed one night, the dog rate was more expensive than what I've been used to for daily fees (£10). Slight noise from pub can be heard from room but nothing too crazy (people talking). May need a little renovation - sink had large cracks/areas of surface missing; remote had no back. No milk in room - had to access from main bar. Large and heavy key ring for door key.

It is an old building, so from the room you can hear everything inside and outside the building. Thankfully in early March the night was mostly quiet.

Beautiful building, with a lovely fireplace in the pub downstairs. The room shows a good balance between historical decor and modern comfort, it's very clean and well maintained and holds the comfiest bed.

The food was excellent and the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were the best I remember ever having in a hotel. The only annoying thing was a light bulb was threatening to go, so was flickering.
