There was nothing to not like.

Love where the shepherd's hut is located, it's so peaceful. The hut has everything you need, a radio, all utensils, toilet rolls, towels, dvd player and DVDs. etc.. The private pool is lovely especially when it's so warm. John is lovely too welcomed us when we arrived, showed us around and gave us a bit of a history lesson too which was nice. He has a delicious apple tree growing there too, and they were amazing apples, we brought some home with us. The 2 cats love to come and sit beside you to watch the sunset. A short drive about 4 miles away is Elsmere so you can get all your essentials at Tesco. Can't wait to hopefully come back before Christmas to refresh and relax again! Thanks ❤️

It’s a long walk in the dark to the Shepherd’s Hut, perhaps some more light to the hut entrance please. (Don’t forget your torch).

It’s a a peaceful haven to reconnect with nature.

    I liked everything

I went for two night and absolutely loved my say in 'the Shepherds Hut'. It was clean, cosy and very comfortable. The shower was great and the little kitchen area was well equipped with a microwave and toaster and there is an outside barbecue/fire pit. I loved the whole site with its pathways to surprising things and John - the owner is the perfect host, he has written the best guest information book ever and there are even parts of it that you could read to the kids and make them laugh. I went for wind-down time and I came back refreshed. I would definitely visit again and may even take my grandson for a few nights. Thanks John ,

Nothing bad to flag , it’s a Shepard hut so I was not expecting any luxury, maybe a recommendation is to provide some body wash or coffee and remove some spider web but nothing that can ruin your holiday, it was a lovely spot and we are looking maybe to rebook in the future , fingers crossed next time at least one sunny day

The Hut is in a middle of a field, there are others establishment around but there is enough distance to feel isolated and enjoy the privacy

Idyllic location, with small but perfectly formed accommodation! Hut was equipped with everything I needed for a couple of nights. The property has lovely grounds to walk around. John was a great host, very friendly and helpful, communication before and during the stay was excellent. Maud the cat was also a great companion to sit and enjoy the view with!

Not really criticisms this is a shepherd's hut, and we expected it to be tiny. You can do the washing up without getting out of bed! There was no coffee pot, but John instantly lent one. It was very cold at night - bring hot water bottles, and plenty of change for the electricity meter.

A charming hut in an exquisite location, with a very friendly and helpful host.

Only very minor niggles. The last occupant clearly didn't wash up very well, so I had to do this before I could eat or drink. No hot water in the kitchen tap. There's a taller than usual step up to the hut - which I did trip up once - so worth being extra careful

Location is very peaceful and beautiful. The site is quirky with lots if interesting parts. I loved the log burner. The host, John, was very friendly.

We loved how remote the location was, it’s perfect for getting away from everything! The host, John was so welcoming and friendly! The hut itself is just lovely, feeling bigger inside and had everything you needed; a great dvd collection & a great bathroom for such a cosy space. A shower/fridge and the swimming pool were great perks that we haven’t experienced at other similar stays! Great value and we would definitely return!
