We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful location next to an unused canal and very close to the estuary. The staff were extremely welcoming and the food delicious. There is a excellent outside seating area which would be lovely in the summer months. I would use this location again if in the area.

Location is great. its out of the way and has a good sized car park, great beer and good food. THe key is available via an e mail key code so do make sure you reply to tghier e mails most e mails you get from chains are full of sales rubbish so i ignored the one from the ship! My fault. I still got in and the chalets have a cooker, fridge etc so you can cook breakfast. Tesco is 15 mins away

I took my own breakfast but would have liked a microwave instead of the oven. The bed was a little too firm for me but they staff went out of their way to help me check in. It was really useful to have a key to the room as I attended a wedding off the pub site.

United KingdomThe room was in an extension to the pub and smelt damp when we arrived (there is a damp patch in the kitchenette area. Could do with airing before visitors. The bed was queen size and a bit on the soft side for my liking.
The pub was lovely with good real ales. The wine prices were very reasonable too. The pub has a large garden including substantial covered areas. My wife and I had a three course dinner and the food was excellent. Our room had a good shower cubical.
