Superbly clean, beautifully designed and comfortable accommodation (with an interesting history), everything so well thought out and attended to. The modern compact and highly effective fan in the bedroom was absolutely brilliant in the heatwave weather! Very friendly host, too.

If I had to say anything, it was the off road parking. Saying that it wasn't a problem

The accommodation was perfect for our 2 night break. Everything was thought of. Spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and welcome chocolate. Space for hanging up clothes. Comfortable settee and a well spec'd kitchen with plenty of breakfast items. Lovely little area outside to have coffee and breakfast in the morning. Paul was there to give us a warm welcome.

Excellent amount of condiments available for breakfast and also in the bathroom there were little extras such as cotton wool pads and shower gel and shampoo! the whole place was also spotlessly clean and it was in a lovely quiet area! Everything was on hand for me including useful property information and things to do in the local area! Will definitely stay again!

Every detail was thought of with genuine warmth and attention, making me feel right at home the moment I arrived. The location itself is absolutely perfect — peaceful, scenic, and easily accessible, making it ideal whether you’re looking to relax or explore the beauty of Wales. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the hosts. Paul and his Mrs. went above and beyond at every opportunity — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. Everything about this place was absolutely perfect. The place is so cosy, you just feel at home when you enter the property, it has everything you need, even a welcome pack with food enough for two days' breakfast. Clean, comfortable, warm, and perfectly located for Mid-Wales, or the entire Wales if you have time. Highly recommended. I only regret not having booked more nights at this beautiful place.

Nothing that we didn’t like. If pushed I would say provide bath sheets rather than bath towels as they weren’t big enough to get around us.

Very beautiful and exceptionally clean property with everything needed for short stay. Every little detail is well think through, great facilities to cook your own meals, fresh local products for breakfast, even emergency tooth brushes if someone forgot to bring their own. Host Paul was very welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely would come back again.

We are repeat visitors. We love the Cambrian Mountains and the Stables are perfectly located. The property is immaculate, with everything you may need and the host is very welcoming.
