Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Can't fault it.
Great to be outside the town for parking the car and a great size. Within walking distance into town as well. Good size room, clean and well looked after. Good security.

The shower temperature was not quite hot enough for me personally.
Staff were welcoming. Breakfast was tasty. Car parking brilliant. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the bar had some board games we had a great time playing trivial pursuit.

That the room windows were painted shut and didn't open.
Staff were very helpful and the location was within easy walking distance of the town center. The parking on site was plentiful.

Nothing, we were happy with our stay.
Big, comfortable bed. Clean rooms. Rooms are in a building next door to the pub, which are very much in the style of a travelodge/premier inn. Short walk into town and about 10 mins from the steam railway, which is a good day out. We enjoyed having breakfast the next day for an additional cost. Lots of parking.

This was a handy hotel for the Rheidol Railway.and plenty of parking. It was clean and tidy and was perfect for our needs. Which was just a place to sleep for one night.

Food was expensive at the pub, only discounted if you book direct, but it was nice would have used it a lot more with some incentive but its cheaper in town.you don't stay at the pub pictured but at the hotel block a short walk away which is starting to look neglected with wood coming off the building,broken garden surrounds around the perimeter and weeds everywhere. You don't really talk to any staff unless you go to the pub where you book in who never mentioned about inserting your card in the room to get the electric on which we didn't know, these are minor complaints the people we spoke to were polite and nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed our stay.
With in walking distance of town centre, pub is close by for meals and drinks, a bath and it was clean.

Stayed for four nights but only came into the room ounce tidied the bathroom but never emptied the waste bins. So landed up with four days of rubbish, in the end was emptying the bins myself into a shop bag daily at the end of my stay there was a large plastic shopping bag full of rubbish.

The second breakfast did not have all of the items advertised and paid for; alternatives were offered, e.g. an extra sausage but no refund. The service was slow and some guests had to leave without breakfast having ordered it.

The bathroom might need a bit of an update; there was a musty smell, maybe the fan was not working properly or there was some damp somewhere.
This was exactly what we were looking for. The room was clean and comfortable and the location is excellent - only a short walk to the town centre.

Non slip mat in the bath for the shower would have been nice as slid in the bath and bashed back and arse on the taps!
Easy check in and the staff member was really friendly. Lovely evening meal and plenty of alchol made the day of riding around Wales even better. AC in room was great. Short walk into the town via a nice leafy walk way.
