Beautiful location, sat on the terrace and listened to a live musician across the river. Rooms are huge, fresh milk for tea and coffee, exceptionally decorated, smart tv. Food was good value for money as the portions were huge! Great service from the staff, even though we arrived a little early.

Our second visit here but under the new management since we last visited it well exceeded our expectations. Upon our arrival we had a warm welcome from Oz who checked us in and briefed us on options. Our room No 5 was simply fabulous. Huge room with a bath in the bedroom. We did use it once and not only did it fill quickly it was lovely and hot. Bed and pillows perfect had great sleeps. Bathroom very large too. All tastefully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean. Biscuits and bottled water in the room daily. Breakfast was the best helped by the lovely smiling Jess. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Great asset to the team. Breakfast fantastic value as a resident as you could have whatever you wanted. Granola yoghurt honey particularly good as were the pancakes with crispy bacon. To be fair all the staff we encountered were the best. The only place I would stay and its location on the River Dart is unbeatable. Also easy access to town and its bars and restaurants. Ideal location too for easy drive to Dartmouth, Salcombe and various beaches like Blackpool Sands our favourite. Highly recommend

Food was great, breakfasts cooked to order. Very friendly staff, good service. A few minutes walk to the High Street. Boat trip and Heritage Steam railway within walking distance. We were lucky to enjoy good weather

The seagulls were a pain. Always trying to pinch food from the tables. But i don't really know what you can do about them. Didn't like the bar closing times either. 10pm is just way too early. Otherwise it would have been a 10/10

The location was amazing and the views of the river Dart were amazing. It's not every day you get the chance to have breakfast with seals swimming up the river. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

Although room at high standard, there were no bedside tables in our room, bed is up in a recess, no room either side of bed. Would recommend property but I'd try another room if available in future.

Communal areas upstairs were tired and a little smelly. Breakfast was quite expensive for what you got (£30 for 2 in addition to room rate) but fine.

Had a lovely room with bath in room. Room itself was lovely, spotlessly clean. The pub was in a great location. Car park wasn't massive but we got a parking space ok.

While we were given a first floor room, there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and twisting. However, the Inn is old and characterful, so is what it is.

Staff were excellent and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was brilliant and close to the town center,;even for my wife and her broken ankle. An evening drink overlooking the estuary is a welcome addition.

All in all lovely pub, lovely staff, lovely location. The room was lovely, but a bit awkward to get in and out of bed due to narrowing room. Lovely pillows and decor. Only a short walk into Totnes . Big shower and fresh milk outside room.

Sitting by the river with a drink. Waiting staff kind and thoughtful. Room comfortable especially the bed. Beer was good and there was a range of drinks . Able to park. Walking distance of town.

It was a nice room but we had to crawl ove the bed to get into as it was squeezed into a space not big enough to allow us to walk round it or to house a small bedside table. There was a shelf above our heads with lamps and room for phone/book/glass of water etc but you have to kneel up to reach it. It was OK for one night as there was no alternative and we did book last minute. I'd stay there again but I'd check which room when booking.

The location is very central with lovely views over the river and best of all PARKING onsite. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk. We had friends staying too and we all enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar. The breakfast was really good too.

Location is undersold right by the river it is absolutely beautiful. Room could not be cleaner or more comfortable. Staff really nice and food great can't fault it
