The 2nd room I had overlooked a graveyard and was a little too hot even with the fan on as the front windows opened like doors so I didn't feel comfortable leaving them open at night but those two issues didn't stop me enjoying my stay there and I'll book again.

Very well furnished and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. This is the second time I've stayed at the Swan hotel and will definitely return.

    All was good, thank you.

It was very hot and the air was still - extremely rare for the UK! A table fan had been placed in my room so I could sleep well. I'm grateful for that thoughtfulness.

Our room overlooked the road, being such a hot day we had the window open at night to provide a flow of air. We were conscious of the traffic, although the fan that was provided did manage to mask some of the noise from the road.

The hotel is located in the centre of Alresford which was a convenient location for us. The bar and restaurant is efficiency run by friendly staff. Plenty of choice and the food is good and reasonably priced.

There was no fridge in the room, the room was hot, so having fridge to keep drinks cool would be great.

It actually looks better in real life than on the photos. It has private parking leading straight to the rooms so that’s convenient. Loved the decor and architecture of the building, great color choices, spacious and clean. Lovely breakfast area and the bar. Rooms simple but clean and stylish, extra comfy beds, blinds on the windows, pretty and clean bathroom, plenty of towels.

The only slight irritation was the one common to almost all English properties of real age, which is such low water pressure that showers are something of a trickle.

Very helpful staff who even got a sandwich made for me when I arrived after the kitchen closed. Genuine English pub feel but very comfortable with modern bathroom and good wifi. Although the location is sbsolutely Town Centre and the pub part of the hotel is popular, my room was very quiet.

Beds: Twin beds are very creaky and uncomfortable. Mattresses are so soft, with one of the mattresses being a different brand and extremely soft. We tried swopping beds but we were both uncomfortable.

Floor board raised in the room which let to a stubbed toe. I did advise staff so hopefully that will be addressed. Room was hot, fan provided but didn’t do much on a hot sunny evening. Shower didn’t have much pressure.

Great location being in the Main Street in Arlesford. Great breakfast with a nice fresh buffet then a choice from their cooked menu. Comfy bed. Nice Border biscuits in the tea tray!
