only thing that I didn't like was the price - we paid around £100 extra a night - I think due to staying on a bank holiday weekend.

The location was gorgeous, the rooms were lovely, the food was delicious, but to top it off the staff were unquestionable. Amanda ( I think that was her name) who served us in the morning was brilliant, and on one of the days i had injured my foot so had to stay inside all day whilst my husband went on a walk and she bought me more refreshments which was so kind.

Firstly the location is beautiful, the staff were so friendly and the whole place was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The room we had was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and the homemade cookies on arrival were delicious and a lovely personalised touch. We had our evening meal, which i can say was outstanding. I myself am plantbased and had no problem with the choices on the menu. The food is all local and beautifully presented. Breakfast was the same great options and again very relaxed and beautifully presented. The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful, we went walking the next day and left our car there. When we returned we had a drink and a bite to eat before heading home and again staff couldn't do enough. We will most definitely be returning. Absolutely outstanding thankyou for a very relaxing and pleasurable stay .

Food was quite expensive and not the best choice of mains for fussy eaters. Shower in room was tiny and nowhere to put shower gel/shampoo other than on floor

Such good value for money, breakfast included which was great. Breakfast was all cooked fresh and then you also had yogurt, granola and toast that you could make yourself. We ate here one night also which was lovely. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and had amazing views. Great location nice quiet area but close enough to everything - walks & towns. Would definitely stay here again.

Only small things really. The room wasn't ready by check in time. We weren't told to use a different door to use when entering the pub for breakfast. We went back to our room in the annex and phoned to let them know the front door was locked. A huge apology was given and accepted. If we had been told to use the other door when coming for breakfast when we checked in there would beenno issue. Don't let this put anyone off. We are sure it won't happen again. The only other point is the bed in our room was very low level. Not so easy getting out from if you are in you 80s.

Cramped bedroom.

Meals and dining areas were superb. Our double bedroom in Swinside Farm was disappointing. It was too cramped for two people and did not do justice to all the other excellent facilities.

Menu could be more varied on a Sunday. Only Sunday Roast options. Would have liked some more choice.

Comfortable, calm and boutique feel to the rooms. We got a bigger room than we booked. Great location for walks on the fells or accessing Derwent Water for water bus and kayaking etc

Are you kidding me? It was perfect 👌

Staff, food, room, location were all absolutely 1st class. My wife and I would like to extend our thanks for the service we received. Please thank the kitchen staff for providing us with top notch grub. Allowing us an early check-in due to our schedule was brilliant. Not to mention a cheeky bottle of fizz 🍾 for our anniversary.
