Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI wish there were 100 stars! The Tables was by far the best stay we've had in our 2 week trip. Stuart and Janet are lovely and so accommodating; they've thought of everything from shoe horns in the room and home baked goods available at any hour, to helping with luggage and sharing history of the area. There are local artwork and homegoods throughout...and that alpaca pillow and duvet made for the absolute best sleep. We arrived as weary travelers and left talking about our next visit.

DenmarkA wonderfully cosy place and the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye. We were given such a warm welcome, and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and it was a real treat to have coffee, tea, cake, and fruit available whenever we wanted. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and full of charm. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

The House is in Dunvegan Town, a wonderful place to take a holiday, and it's a beautiful house with gardens, a terrace, little birds, and a comfortable porche with seats to view the lake. The reception has coffee, tea, little cakes, and pastries that you can take when you like. The room on the first floor is wide, comfortable, with a wide bed, a little chair with a little table, and a comfortable armchair. The room has a window to the lake and the parking. Beautiful Landscape. The personal attention by Stuart and Janice was wonderful. Excellent.

Hosts were very friendly and easy to get on with. Breakfast was excellent. Parking across the road in private area was good. Nice homemade treats in the afternoon. Several eating options nearby. We opted for takeaway one night and the hosts provided us with a nice area to eat plus utensils and plates to use.

United StatesBathrooms were small by necessity but every room had it's own, so that's okay.
Location. We could see water from our rooms. Dunvegan has plenty of dining options (if you make reservations) but it is low key. We drove through Portree and that was a madhouse. So glad we chose to stay in Dunvegan. The breakfast included was spectacular. Small "mom and pop" shop and they were helpful and informative. Allowed our small group to use the common area in the solarium late into the evening. Provided kitchen items when we had a charcuterie dinner. It was clean and comfortable.

United StatesOur hosts Stewart/Janet were fantastic in every way. B&B has a perfect location with view over the sound. Room had everything we needed and very clean and organized. Loved the tasty treats in the room (and at the front desk). Breakfast was wonderful (best porridge ever!) and dining area had lots of windows to let the light in for a welcoming morning. Sitting in the main room with the fire on one morning was a nice warming environment when the weather was a little wet and windy. Overall a fantastic stay. Driving to location is fine. Skye is not too big, and we were able to reach every corner as needed and enjoyed the roads and views as we explored.

CanadaThis was the most amazing stay, the hosts really thought of everything. The beds & pillows are extremely comfortable—the pillows and duvet are from a local company & made of 100% alpaca (I'll be looking into purchasing these for home!). The breakfast is delicious and has a ton of options, a lot of the products used are local. The hosts had a lovely tea and coffee bar, complete with home baked treats that was complementary—we loved sitting here and reading in the evening. The rooms themselves are big and have everything you need. There is a parking lot across from the building which was super convenient. In summary it was a beautiful place and the hosts are so sweet and made us feel at home. We hope to return again soon!

United StatesNothing.
Janet and Stuart were wonderful hosts. They had fresh baked treats available at any time along with coffee, espresso, and teas. The rooms were comfortable and we had a great view out of our room. There was also a lovely seating room to take in the sunrises. The location was in walking distance of numerous restaurants and the 2 churches walk which provided outstanding views and diverse scenery- my favorite walk in all of Scotland. Breakfasts were great and they went above and beyond for someone in the group who is gluten-free. I will say that even the light breakfasts seemed large for our group. We were so glad we stayed here for 2 nights.
