Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The stairs up to the rooms. Not easily accessible definitely not for disabled. There wasn’t a cheaper breakfast option.
Very nice room clean and spacious. Lovely bathroom and shower. Quiet and cozy.

Nothing, it was all good
Lovely room, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Bathroom good too with nice toiletries. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Nice location too

The sound of bedroom doors banging throughout the night was the only down side of the hotel.
Very picturesque and quiet location. Room was very comfortable, clean and a good size, with lovely views over the river. The staff were very polite and helpful.

Some of the restaurant dishes are not quite as expected. For example the smoked haddock scotch egg has a lot of potato and not much fish. Whilst the chicken Caesar salad had a huge piece of chicken with just a few leaves, you would normally expect some chicken strips to be added to mostly salad. Food overall a bit pricey. However we did enjoy the overall experience of our meal.
The rooms and pub are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff are helpful. The restaurant facing the river has a nice atmosphere. The overall quality of the food is good. A wonderful place to spend a summer's evening.

Not much at all! Location wise, there isn’t much around but we didn’t come here to explore the area.
Everything! The staff were incredibly lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately, we got the times wrong for early check in but we were attending a wedding so without having a major panic, they were able to get our room ready for us asap. Definitely a huge relief and thank you for helping us so last minute!

Lovely location except for the loud road noise, which was a shame. Food lovely, staff helpful and lovely. Stairs...well glad they had handrails on both sides helpful for me as a crutch user Outside seating by river very nice.

The only negative for us was the noise (from the boiler flue or kitchen fan?) early in the morning next to the window which we needed to have open for keeping us a bit cooler.
The room appeared to be brand new, it was so bright and clean. The bed was good, the bathroom well designed. The balcony was nice but we didn't use it. We were there on one of the hottest days of the year so far, and we needed to open the window and the balcony door. Our evening meal was reasonably priced and enjoyable.
