Walking into the Tilman @ 3.00pm when the bar was packed, not a great aroma and no suggestion it was an Inn was worrying. Returning later, we felt more confident. Accessing the resident's area felt good, and the rooms were a long way from the busy bar (a good thing) and they were comfortable, well-decorated and made us feel much, much better. The breakfast was perfect, all the 'staff' worked well and last impressions altered the first impression.

Fantastic room of 5* quality, great staff free parking close by. Breakfast was great and we had an evening meal also very tasty.

Lovely, welcoming place to stay. This is our second stay. Room was clean, comfortable and met all of our requirements. Staff were courteous and helpful. We had a meal in the evening, which was delicious, as was the breakfasts included.

Room was spotless, a good relaxation space and comfortable bed. Bathroom was excellent.

A few more healthier breakfast options would have been good. Although food served was excellent.

The decor was lovely. Staff very friendly. Food brilliant and room comfy.

Couldn't fault it. Was extremely busy and noisy in and outside the bar in the evening, but we didn't hear a thing from our room.

The rooms are lovely, the bedrooms are well laid out and the bathrooms are beautiful. The nice touches like bottles of milk are great and some nice drinks in the fridge in the room. Bed was really comfortable. And as per last time the sound proofing in the rooms is second to none it's so quiet in there.

Pillows are far too soft and wasn't any extra available in the room. The fridge in the room hums quite loudly so could do with being in a cupboard somewhere not right next to the bed. The carpets through the place are looking really grubby and are in desperate need of a deep clean or replacing.The two lamps didn't work on the bed side tables. But the biggest issue is the A/C kept showing a fault all through the night and this morning which meant it got really warm in the room and made it difficult to sleep as I like a room to be cold. We've stayed before and it was one of the best places we've stayed but standards have definitely slipped considering the price.

Great small boutique hotel in a superb location above a pleasant bar. Excellent room, and breakfast included. Adults only, lovely and quiet and the private car park was a bonus.

Breakfast was very good

When we arrived the room had lots of flies because the window had been left open. Was given some fly spray I was not happy They change our room for that night but had to move back the next morning.

Sadly the food portions for a main meal were small, burger and chips for £15!? So we also ordered a side which arrived bigger than both our mains or together!! They definitely need to reconsider their food sizing and pricing

Bath plug got stuck in bath so could not let the water out but after telling staff about this and also to refresh the room nothing was done.

Very nice quiet room, comfortable bed and really good choice at breakfast. Plenty of water on offer too which was welcome in the warm weather. Staff were all friendly and very helpful.

Everything really, quite run down, food nothing special. Certainly would not call it a Cocktail Lounge.

Breakfast was very good. Room modern and comfortable. The hotel had parking which was easy to access the staff were friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and fantastic shower. Great breakfast. The pub and street were quiet on the Thursday night we stayed (I am a light sleeper and it was perfect!)
