The Toolshed was spotlessly clean, very comfortable - the bed in particular was super-comfy - and in general it was well equipped. Breakfast items provided were varied and of good quality. David (the host) was exceptionally helpful and helped make our stay very pleasant.

A lovely quiet location. Perfect for the wedding we were attending at St Giles House nearby. David was the perfect host and Flynn the Labrador bought his toy to show us…….

VERY LITTLE TO BE FARE...husband would have preferred a 2 ring hotplate (was a single) to prepare a simple meal on or you have to cook a steak then fry tomatoes mushrooms chips all separately....for frying food....there was a combi 'do it all' Microwave/oven .....if you have time to work out how to use it...! A full length mirror would be cherry on cake✅️👌 Apart from our personal taste ...it was high quality....gorgeousness 😀 And not forgetting their cute Labrador dog that visited us each day with his toy to play....ADORABLE 😀🤗🐕

'Everything'...high quality furnishings/kitchen equipment... Lovely comfortable large double bed... Real flowers in vase on table... Was left fresh milk /orange juice/ 2 yogurts/2 croissants/a fresh 'Tin' loaf of bread..pot of butter pats...selection of lil jars of Jams Marmalade Honey..Tea/Coffee Fresh coffee in cupboard..box of eggs....sweeteners and sugar..told could pick fruit on trees.....BEAUTIFUL Barn conversion...main house and grounds and car park really spectacular .....

TV on the smaller side but fully functional.

The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. The accommodation had all the necessities inc a BBQ and sun loungers and the hosts prepared a lovely welcome package of bread, croissants, milk and OJ etc.

Spacious, well appointed accommodation. Very comfortable and clean. In an amazing location - very peaceful with beautiful views. A lovely walk from the Toolshed , we saw hares, deer, partridge and other birds.

Outstanding location. Beautiful surroundings. Fabulous cottage, called a Tool Shed!! 😅 David is a friendly, welcoming and helpful host, ably assisted by the over energetic bouncy and very pleased to see you Flynn, the golden labrador.....make sure you've warmed up your throwing arm!!

Excellent location for a wedding at Chettle Lodge. The communication was excellent and the property was just what we wanted. Very clean, comfortable and has lots of extra touches that we appreciated. We had croissants, milk, orange juice. A selection of tea and coffee. We really enjoyed the log burner too!

Nit picking really - the shower is functional but it would enhance the stay even more if it was improved.

Location, Excellent and charming property and the hosts too. Birds galore singing away. The dog (Flynn) also a great character.

Wonderful property with beautiful countryside views and set in a quiet peaceful location with just the sound of bird song in the mornings. Very well equipped throughout and with a really comfy lovely bed! The hosts were excellent and very helpful always responding quickly. The continental breakfast was a nice touch.

The hosts were incredible, location out of this world, and facilities second to none. They provided a vegan friendly breakfast and really went above and beyond. I am staying here again as soon as I can and if you're looking for a peaceful break in exceptional countryside then this is the place for you.

Nothing could have been better. We were attending a wedding, so perhaps a full-length mirror somewhere might be useful, but not at all essential for a regular break.

Everything was top quality...Furnishings, facilities, linen and towels were great. Breakfast ingredients were excellent and generous. The bed was warm and comfortable. The rural outlook was to our liking, wide open space, with plenty of birdlife. The hosts were friendly, very helpful, and discrete. Parking was easy, and right next to the accommodation. Only able to stay for one night, but would have liked to stay longer, and better explore the area.

Amazing location, property and hosts! Highly recommended as a get away at any time of year! Super continental breakfast, coffee and tea equipment and all the accoutrements for woodburning stove etc. David and Tracey are superlative hosts and set a very high standard for hospitality indeed.
