Would have liked a bedside light and a full length mirror.

The location is excellent being 2 mins from the bus station and everything is nearby. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well using the provided ear plugs. It is exactly as described with kettle mini fridge and microwave. There was plenty of hot water and a lovely heated towel rail in the shower room.

I had no issues with it because I’m a heavy sleeper, especially when tired (which you will be with all the walking), but if you are a light sleeper, it’s somewhat noisy with students walking by sometimes late at night. Laura, the owner, is great, and they even have ear plugs on the bed stand, if need be. I didn’t bother with them, but some may want them.

Location, location, location. St. Andrews is an imminently walkable town, and this property is in the dead center of everything. If you are there for golf, everything is literally a couple blocks away. Auchterlonies for rental clubs and gear, the Old Course is 2 blocks away, not to mention the rest of the courses at St Andrews Golf Links - the Jubilee, New Course, Eden, etc. If you’re there for the University, it’s a block or two in the other direction. The student stores is at the end of the block, with North Street on one side and Market St on the other. Perfect place if you’re solo or a couple. Laura was fantastic as a host and her recommendations were spot on. Achterlonies for club rentals and golf gear - check. Better to rent a car coming from Edinburgh than to take a shuttle or train - check. (Saved hundreds of $, GBP, EUR for sure - TIP: folks stayed at the Old Course Hotel, for a shuttle out to Kingsbarns is 50 pound, each way, per person. Having a car is the way to go). Hang out by the starter house towards the end of the day at the Old Course - check. Entered the lottery 4x, no luck, but I was hanging out at the starter house when the last group going off was a twosome. Asked the starter if I could join them, and even though my waitlist number was only down to 7 (started at 22), I was able to get on. So happy to have gotten the opportunity to play, all because of her suggestion.

The Wee Room is such an excellent place to stay when visiting St Andrews. It's location was perfect as it was just a short walk to the Old Course, to St Andrews Castle, and to just about anything else you'd like to see or do in town. The room was actually bigger than expected and is a great size for 2 people. Laura, our host, was incredible - so kind and responsive. I highly recommend staying here if you're considering a visit to St. Andrews!

The bed was too small for us , my hubby is 6 ft tall and with no headboard between the head of bed with a space there between the window recess , pillows kept tipping over in the night ( bed is against the window wall) restless sleep I’m afraid . Tv reception quite bad too .

Very clean , and great location

The location is perfect if you want to explore the best parts of St Andrews and also play golf. This was just 15 minutes walk away from where we had to go for tee time. The host was excellent in helping us dropping our bags earlier and even checking in earlier. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone.

    It was perfect.

We really enjoyed the stay at the Wee Room. Our host Laura communicated so nicely with us. Had great recommendations for food, wine, and entertainment. Was so friendly and kind about answering all my questions. The room was excellent, comfortable and quite large (don't let the "Wee" part fool you). I loved having the extra space with a couch and the kitchen supplies and were great. We enjoyed wine from the little wine shop around the corner, it was so nice to be able to relax in the living room and enjoy the wine. The location could not have been any better, it was literally 5 minutes from the golf course, from the beach, from the town center and restaurants, from the bus station. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
