Super country pub feel. Very lovely, chatty accommodating staff.

Room 1 was a lovely room, but because it was hot we slept with the windows open. The traffic on the road beneath room 1 was very very noisy, from about 5am.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, they were busy and only two on duty but they were both amazing.

The host and staff were friendly and very welcoming. We immediately felt very comfortable there. The room was very well appointed with a lovely shower. We had an excellently cooked and presented evening meal from the set menu. Breakfast choices were comprehensive and again the food was of a very high standard and used locally sourced produce. For us, it was a prime location to break our journey from Scotland, just off the A1 but far enough away to enjoy the peace of village life. Rob should be proud of his pub and his staff.

Lovely

We greatly enjoyed the Wellington Heifer, with the exception of the excessive traffic noise off the main road passing the window of our room. But everything esle about the hotel itself was simply brilliant, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a very comfy bed, lots of room, loads of hot water when you needed it, large bath sheets and towels. We enjoyed a superb dinner in the evening and a hearty breakfast the following morning,. We cannot recommend it enough. Thank you very much to Wellington Heifer team for the really great hospitality, we really enjoyed it.

Lovely rural pub with views of a pretty church. Food in the restaurant delicious, served quickly and piping hot. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful.
