The location is perfect in Bowness with the main road just around the corner filled with shops and restaurants. The lake is a very short walk away. The room was small but perfect for the 5 days we spent there - I would say the bathroom was a tiny bit of a squeeze. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and breakfast was very enjoyable. Bonus is that the accommodation comes with parking which is a win

Our stay was perfect despite the shocking weather. Our hosts could not have made us more welcome and it was lovely to hear of their plans for the future at the Westbourne. The room was lovely (7) and the breakfast superb. We are returning next Spring and will not be looking at another place to stay! Our thanks and warm wishes to Angela and Greg.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but still managed to get a good night's sleep. There is nothing else I could complain about. Absolutely recommend this place.

I had a very nice welcome at the check-in, Greg was very helpful and introduced me to local bus and ferry timetables as well as the cruises on Windermere and local walking routes. Breakfast was great, room was lovely and clean and I wish I had booked for more than one night now. I'd definitely return if and when I decide to visit Bowness again.

The universal remotes on the TVs wouldn’t open the Apps so was limited to free view channels. A radio or a docking station would be a good addition. Breakfast time was a little early and we skipped the breakfast which was available 8am-9am.

Great location, with a short walk to the lake. Private parking and a pleasant welcome on arrival. We stayed in the cottage located to the right hand side of the main building. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was big enough for 3 or two large people.

I can’t think of anything that could have been done better.

Great location, free parking which we were able to access prior to check in after speaking with our hosts. We stayed in a lovely annexe cottage and also had booked a room in the main building, which was spacious and really comfortable. We received a warm welcome from the hosts and were made to feel very much at home! Thank you all!
