My only concern was the hot tub wasn’t warm enough for our first night to use. The hot tub had switched off for some reason during the afternoon, but this wasn’t the fault of the owners.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a couple of days away in the Lakes. The adjoining pub served gorgeous food, with a great beer garden to the rear. The cottage had a very country feel to it, nicely decorated with a wonderful log burner. The bed was so comfy. Would definitely stay there again. There’s a path across the road from the cottage / pub leading into Coniston which took us about an hour, the path keeps you off the road along an old train line.

I stayed in one of the Shepherd”s huts - Bluebell at the end of the row of four. It had an enclosed garden for my little dog - it was very well equipped inside and comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is located out the back of the pub - which also has rooms . The food and service in the pub is great - the wine selection is good too - 😃

There was a rooster on the grounds that woke at 4am every morning, very loud and not good . Also the blind on the front bedroom window is not quite long enough to block out the light in a morning !

All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and did a fabulous job. The food was also very good too.

The mattress is a little uncomfortable and the noise from downstairs is quite loud when you are in your room.

Lack of curtains (wooden blinds) meant it was daylight from 4am onwards in the bedroom so sleep was a luxury we didn't have. The WiFi is sporadic and cut out every day especially in the living room. £50 dog stay price is also a lot higher than most as normally 20 for a stay not per night. Hot tub takes 4-6 hours to warm up and needs tending, so a pointless feature as nobody is waiting round for that long for a giant bath.
