We didn't come here for the accommodation but rather the restaurant (Sambuca) the hotel side was a bonus. The hotel side is basic and a little tired but clean enough and serves its purpose as pit stop. Room facilities are a mix of could do better and oh that's nice eg full size ironing board and iron, and full size kettle. Could do better - tv and Internet connection failed, no hangers. In conclusion would I stay here again if I was returning to the restaurant- likely otherwise not a destination hotel. Staff were lovely got to say.

Room was very dated. Nobody on reception. My details were just left on the reception with my name address etc for all to see. Definitely won’t stay again

We were in the suite the bathroom smelt of urine,very old furniture in room,reception when you come through doors was very dirty needs a dust and vacuum ,they was few rips in the carpet in the room,they was no plug for bath had to ask nightshift staff witch he did get for us,no iron just iron board,they was no wash stuff and they was no milk for tea or coffee and took us ages to connect to WiFi wasn't worth the 115 per night in my eyes

we liked the bed was comfortable and bath was nice but had to get staff to find us a plug to keep the water in.Staff was very friendly.

Location was great, food was great but hotel was very basic and the WiFi was rubbish. No signal in room and had to go outside to use phone.

I have booked various hotels and Airbnbs and have never been asked for my driving license to be photo copied, this is breaching gdpr regulations as booking.com have your details already when registering. The man on reception did not like that I knew this and stated that every hotel and Airbnb should do this, when I corrected him he got really defensive.

Loud dance music in restaurant constantly blasting out. No bar area for drinkers. Would not provide a Vat receipt. They said booking. Com will provide this. Booking. Com says Hotel must provide it. Not going back!

The fact there is no breakfast facilities had to go elsewhere to get a breakfast so had to get up early so we could get there would be a lot better with these facilities so unfortunately until then we won’t be back

Stayed here a few years ago and it was excellent, however not so pleasurable return. Room was ok but cleanliness not so great, no kettle on room on arrival asked for one which was got straight away however, water still on it and timescale all over it and plug was covered in yuck so had to clean it off. Restaurant staff were ok however the speed of the 3 course meal we had I felt like I was on a eating quest. No sooner was knife and fork down and the next course arrived. Fillet steak was ok but only came with chips, everything else was extra, dessert wasn't great. I'm sad to say I won't be returning which shame as good location. Sorry guys must try harder.

Room overlooked car park. No privacy as car parked right next to bedroom window. No net curtains or blinds which was a big privacy/security issue. Had to keep curtains drawn during day for this reason. General public can walk in and out freely and gain access to hotel as front door open at night with no security present only cctv signage.

The room we had was a “wedding suite” it was old and tired. The decorations were old fashioned and in need of modernisation. I think most newly married couples would have been unhappy with the accommodation.

The location suited our needs. The restaurant was popular so we tried it and found the food was good and the staff were pleasant.
