Upper flight of stairs a bit tricky to negotiate but hey, they’ve done a great job of creating a living space in the upper area of a house.

The property was at the top of a very steep flight of stairs so may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. The property is called castle view but no view of the castle (about 25 minute walk from the castle).

All arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow. Managed to accommodate a request for a slightly earlier check-in thank you. Clean and tidy.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely room and comfortable bed. But you do need to be a bit agile to get up the stairs leading up to it. There is a TV in the kitchen but not the room -but I knew this and took a laptop to stream Netflix. The big skylight window blind wouldn’t stay down so I improvised by shutting it in the window. It was ideally located for Legoland and close to supermarket and local shops/takeaways.

Great value for money, the room is basic but was clean and well equipped, comfy bed and nice private bathroom. The owner was very friendly and provided all the details before checking in. Overall is was a pleasant stayed.

No towels were provided whicheant I couldn't have a shower on arrival. No shower gëlon soap to wash your hands. No tea or coffeealing fscilitues in bedrooms.staff wre not aware of my arrival until I actually phoned tyre myself as my booking was made on the day,which could have meant I was stuck outside building without knowing how to get in in cold weather late at night,as they gave the code to get in and get the key very late.

Renovated small room on top Floor with own bathroom. Cosy but there was no heating or really hot water at night. Stairs to bedroom were very narros after landing. No parking was possible on tue street other than in resident,,"s car park spaces which could javë resulted in fine.

There wasn't really anything we didn't like.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean. Allowed us to drop our case off 2 hours early which was a massive help as we' were due at the racecourse at 13:45. The price was very reasonable and cannot thank the staff enough.

A convenient stay for a walking event the next day at the Windsor racecourse. Room was clean and good size for me for the one night I needed.

It was all good for me but the narrow stairs at the top would not suit the more elderly. I had no problems.

Location was brilliant, nice and peaceful the hosts were really lovely asking about my day and what plans I had, they took an interest in what we were doing and even helped us find the best way of travelling there. Quite a steep staircase up to top room that may be difficult for frail and infirm people.

Great value, clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed. Well Located for events held at Windsor Racecource. Great clear communication from owners. Hosts were extremely hospitable hosts that we spent some time with.

the fridge has lots of old food in it. The kitchen is full of stuff. The garden cannot be used.

Our greeting was a bit strange - we didn't really get one or a welcome. We weren't introduced....I presume the couple who we met were the owners?? The 'Castle View' ha ha...yes there is a view of the castle if I stood on my tiptoes, strained my neck to the right and squinted! The blind needed repairing

We didnt end up staying here and booked into the travel lodge. When we arrived there were 5 males in the kitchen highly intoxicated. It wasnt explained the facilities are shared and the owner would actually be staying there with his friends. We felt very vulnerable. The room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs. I doubt the stairs would pass health and safety. They are steep and narrow with no landing space before the door. The room had no floor space no head room. There was 3 of us. A double bed and for the third person was a mattress on the floor. The lock on the door was flimsy and didn't feel secure. Avoid at all costs!

All great at 17 Oak Lane. Just if you do not have transport you have to take a bus to get to the Castle, small price to pay for a genuinely good experience.

The owners, Alana and Karl were fantastic! We ended up having a BBQ in their yard the last night. Wonderful hosts. There was a TesconExpress and a Waitross within a few minutes walk to get anything you may need.

Was not expecting a very steep and narrow staircase, or shared kitchen facilities with other residents of the house. The double bed was up against the wall and shower was very cramped with danger of banging head.

Location is not great, parking is on street, we booked for 3 people but that was not communicated to the host so the 2nd bed (folding foam mattress) was not made up. Pictures are deceiving, this is one room with an en-suite.
