Location was perfect as we were attending a Wedding at Clearwell Castle. Accommodation was fine, we were in the Lodge next to the main hotel with a large bedroom and bathroom very clean.

We didn’t realise we would need to have breakfast in the castle so that would have been good to know. Also castle needs better lighting on staircases as a guest fell down a few steps as it was dark but this is not the Wyndham’s fault but the castle owns the business.

Shower was not warm and was more a drizzle and breakfast was very early and not for long.

Staff were so friendly and we had a wedding at Clearwell Castle, so perfect location, lodge was stunning and very large room and cosy. Beautiful location.

The lovely bar in the pictures isn’t actually open, plus the beds in one of the rooms we booked were very creaky and noisy. Quite pricey for what it is.

Nicely located in a gorgeous little village with nice nearby places to eat and drink. Check in is super early and the staff were communicative pre arrival. When we had issues the team communicated well to sort the problem out. Unusually large rooms great for families or groups of friends. EV charging on site.

Quite expensive for location/facilities

Nice hotel with friendly staff perfect for access to the castle, caves and forest. Hotel bar closed while wedding taking place at the castle & no other facilities to speak of. Well equipped and clean room. Breakfast was nice but had to keep asking for extra cups/coffee/breakfast items.

There was a bit of a mixup with the rooms as someone was in my mother in law's and a friend's room already when we arrived but this was sorted out quickly by the staff.Other than that it was very good.

Lovely big room. The bed was very comfortable,tea and coffee making facilities, large wet room shower. Good size wardrobe and good heating and lighting.Nice breakfast.

Communication wasn’t the best, the staff didn’t seem to communicate to each other. We booked another night stay and was told we would have to move rooms, then the rang my husband and said we don’t have to move. I was getting ready to go to the wedding and a staff member walked In the room, no knock, just opened the door. Was only told hours before hand that if we wanted dinner there was no restaurant and the local pub would need booking. So had to drive to the nearest town for dinner. No bar at the hotel either which seemed strange as a large wedding party stayed the next before

The hotel is in the centre of Clearwell which is a very peaceful and beautiful location. Our lodge room was very clean, quite and comfortable.

Having different buildings for breakfast.

We had booked through Booking.Com a 3 bed room for 3 adults. On arrival we were informed that our room number was number 10, on inspection the room only had 1 double bed. A lady on the front desk was unable to explain how the Hotel had not picked up our booking however, luckily for us room number 12 that had the 3 beds was free and the lady kindly and eagerly swapped the reservation over.
