Great location. Really comfy beds. Great shower. Great kitchen. Suited us perfectly as we were visiting family in Evenwood.

There was nothing we didn’t like Can’t park outside but we knew this when we booked it An air fryer would be a good addition to the kitchen

Nothing. We can't complain about a thing.

The cottage was lovely and clean. Very well equipped and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Location quiet. Parking good. Very well advised. Contacted the owner for advice and she got back Very quickly. Went to see our daughter so will definitely stay again when we visit her again. Thank-you for a lovely stay. Oh one more thing I wanted to take the bed home with me, it was so comfy.

Parking may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues as road to property is uneven, little outdoor space to enjoy the summer evenings. Could benefit from a second sofa as seating is limited in the lounge area. A blind would be a good addition to the bathroom, although this is not overlooked by neighbours unless they are walking past.

Excellent location for travelling to lots of local attractions, local shops within 5 mins walk and lots of options for takeaway meals, delivered quickly. Very comfy cottage with all amenities available, everything we needed for a lovely quiet stay

The beds in both rooms were very uncomfortable especially the second bedroom. But just my personal view.

Cottage was nice and clean. Location very quiet indeed which was good for us. Everything clearly detailed in house book on how to use everything.

The location was within good distance of all essential amenities. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable and the home had everything you needed. The hosts were quick to respond and provided extremely helpful instructions and guidance upon arrival/departure.

Great central location for our visit to Kynren. So close to lots of other fantastic places. The house is in a quirky location which adds to its charm. Everything was clean and tidy, with excellent attention to detail. Comfy beds too. As well as Kynren, we visited Locomotion at Shildon, a local farm shop for amazing breakfasts and Raby Castle. We also visited High Force waterfall with it's excellent hotel for lunch.

Previous tenants mixed unwashed items and glass with the recycling which would have meant a potential fine for the owners!

The cottage has been modernised to an excellent level. While its location is a little quirky this is made clear on the website before booking and the pricing fully takes this into account.

Lack of TLC . Rubbish Bins not emptied. kitchen, appliances, cutlery and plates greasy Had to do a clean down before using kitchen. Out of date food in cupboard ( 1 item 2022) Dirty items left in dishwasher. Dead flowers in vase of smelly water. Guest comment book with tear out pages. Items mentioned there in not addressed. Toilet seat insecure

It was handy for Bishop Aukland .
