Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTelevision upgrade and reception sorted out(acorn cottage. Breakfast voucher waste of time
Trenderway claims to be 5☆meaning everything has to be spot on i,m not so sure.Just returned from a 4night stay in Acorn cottage.1st impressions were very positive lovely bathroom and shower 10/10 very clean room with comfortable bed 10/10.My only gripe was with the small television needs an upgrade also the fact that the reception was terrible.I had to go into the library to use the one in there. So all in all the cottage was good. Now the issue with the breakfast i had no idea about the voucher you can use in a cafe in looe.It is ok if you are actually going there but if not, who wants to drive there pay for parking then wait for a seat in the cafe which happened to me its just too much hassle. On the otherhand there is plenty of choice for breakfast [continental) at the farm.Overall great area to stop in.

United KingdomNothing to do with you, but my satnav took me on a tour rather than direct to your door..
I don’t usually eat a cooked breakfast so wasn’t particularly bothered, but I did only read the voucher for the cafe when I got back!

United KingdomTrenderway claims to be a five star b&b, we didn't feel that the overall experience staying in Wisteria lived up to this claim. The room was quite oldy worldey with an extremely small television. I accept that our stay was during a heatwave but the room was very hot, we asked if there was a fan but there wasn't one available. Our biggest gripe was the breakfast arrangements, the website didn't make it clear that it was only a continental breakfast on site, a voucher was provided for a cooked breakfast in a cafe in Looe a few miles away but this wasn't practical unless you were going into Looe anyway.
Great location our room Wisteria overlooked the gardens and lake. Complimentary cream tea on arrival and complimentary daily milk and apple juices delivered to the room.

United KingdomNothing not to like
Quiet and out of the way to relax but not too far from Looe or Polperro. Owners very friendly and went out of their way for us. The rooms were large and airy with plenty of natural light with everything you need included tea coffee, milk etc. The farm produces their own apple juice from their large orchard which they is provided for you ( it’s absolutely delicious). Lovely breakfast.

United KingdomVery homely, rustic and welcoming. Lots of nature things to to do around the farmlands. Very welcoming host Janeen, and everything as described in the description. There is an fully stocked dining area open all day, you can just pick whatever beverages and food/snacks any time and best of all it's all inclusive. This little touch made the stay very very comfortable. I've never seen this concept before, and it works!

United KingdomWe stayed in the Courtyard and we were disturbed by the noise from the room above. The people were not particularly noisy, although they did have 2 dogs that barked a fair bit. The problem was the lack of sound proofing between accommodation.
Breakfast and location perfect. Friendly staff and owners.

United KingdomThe room was reached by slate steps which were steep and could be slippery. cobwebs always appear in farms but some had been there a while... .
TrenderwayFarm is a quiet, tranquil place, perfect for wildlife watching anf to recharge our batteries. The complementaries were lovely; a cream tea, apple juice, bottled water tea and coffee, toiletries all making us feel special. United KingdomThe single track approach road is a challenge!
The weather was unseasonably cold with a gusty northerly wind, so I was pleased to find that the heating was on and we were very cosy in our room. It was comfortable with everything we needed and plentiful hot water in the bathroom. Having the little kitchenette hidden behind cupboard doors was very useful. We didn't use the combination microwave but if we had, we probably would have appreciated a manual to help us. We had a comprehensive choice of cooked breakfasts as well as a cold buffet and I was pleased that they were able to supply gluten free sausages and bread for me. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly and made us feel like we mattered. It was blissfully quiet in our room and when we went for breakfast, other guests we talked to all said how pleased they were to have found such a great place to stay. There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area, but you do need a car. We were very happy to see several car charging stations. They seemed expensive, but when we looked around, all the other charge points in the area were even more expensive, so it was worth charging here - and so convenient. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
