Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBeautiful cottage with stunning views of the countryside!!. Inside was beautifully decorated with lots of hidden touches eg logs for the fire, cozy blankets and dvds to watch/TV. The hosts had left coffee/tea and milk ready and bread/butter and jam 😁. Which was a lovely surprise!! Very dog friendly and lots of opportunity to explore the surrounding woodland.

United KingdomHonestly cannot fault the cottage!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trinity Cottage. The accommodation was cosy, super clean and exactly what we needed for a short weekend trip. You have everything you need in the cottage from a well equipped kitchen, lovely big shower to a cosy log burner. We were made to feel very welcome with a tea, coffee, milk and bread available for us to use. There was even a thoughtful touch of an Easter Egg considering it was the bank holiday weekend! The bed was very comfy and the peaceful surroundings allowed for a great night sleep. A lot of homely touches have been made to this property and we immediately felt at home.

Absolutely everything. There seemed to be nothing that wasn’t thought of by our host and Corinne went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. Upon arrival we were also presented with complimentary milk, bread, jam and butter which was a very nice surprise. Views were amazing and the peace and quiet of the cottage and surrounding area was great. We even had a little cat friend come and visit us whilst we were taking in the sights form the garden.

Lovely little detached cottage in the hills of Welshpool, very quiet and relaxing. Had everything we needed, including a decorated Christmas tree! Bed was really comfortable and great shower. Kitchen had everything you needed and there’s a Tesco superstore nearby where you can get everything you need. Great walks around the cottage as well. For the dogs, they provided bowls, towels and blankets! Dogs loved the little paths on the lane!

United KingdomNothing particularly. We had a very enjoyable stay and will return.
We loved our stay here. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. It is a great location, peaceful with incredible views and loads of local walks and attractions to explore. We wished we'd booked longer, but a good excuse to return in the future. We managed to cram in a short hike up Rodneys Pillar, a visit to the lyme works / nature reserve and a trip to Powis Castle (NT). There were plenty of walks that could be undertaken from the cottage as well and lots of local wildlife to see. There were plenty of places to eat locally and plenty within a short driving distance of the property. The owners provide a great guide to the local pubs and restaurants with local sample menus available in the cottage. The cottage was well kitted out and we particularly liked the cosy log burner with plenty of fuel supplied. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, toaster, kettle, microwave, tea/coffee etc... We discovered a great farmshop at Derwen Garden Centre about 15 minutes away. Really nice quiches, bread and other treats to nibble on during our stay!
