Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdom- rooms and bathrooms were small but for a short stay they were fine for us.
- amazing breakfast catering for kids and weaning babies too. Flexible about timings as we asked for an early one. - so close to peppa pig world. - lovely staff. - the family room is perfect as it is adjoining but can close the doors and have separate bathrooms too if you dont want to go to bed the same time as your children!

United KingdomIt was all good.
The location was very good and the sign just off the M27 was very useful. We were given a warm greeting by Helen which was very nice and our room was great; very clean, with toiletries in the bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. The fresh milk in the fridge in the landing was a very nice touch. The breakfast was very good. It was a great stay.

United KingdomThat we didn’t get to stay longer!
We had a parking space right outside the b&b and a very warm and friendly welcome from Helen. Check in was easy and the entrance rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated. Our room was large and again beautifully decorated , it was spotlessly clean and had all mod cons that you would want. The bedding was fresh and clean and a light quilt was a nice touch as it was so warm- also there was a portable fan in the room which was needed !.There was a hairdryer and tea and coffee .The bathroom is small but adequate and the shower was powerful with fresh towels and soaps on hand.In the morning we were greeted by Helen who had cooked us a tasty full English ( our order was taken the night before) fresh coffee and orange juice all perfect. We had a good nights sleep as it was very quiet and the bed was super comfy. We had our dinner in the pub opposite which was a very tasty Indian meal all freshly cooked.

United KingdomThe room was quite small and intimate. As a result there was a lack of drawer space. Location near to the Motorway means that a level of background noise can be heard.
The property was very comfortable, the host Helen was friendly and very helpful and the choice of breakfast was very good. The location is good for access to a variety of activities. Wi-fi is easily accessible and necessary as the mobile signal can be weak in the area.

United KingdomWe recently spent the weekend at the Twin Oaks whilst visiting family in neighbouring Totton and found the location perfect. Helen was a super host and the rooms were so clean and cosy. We booked the whole house so we could come and go as we pleased which worked for us perfectly. Helen organised a mini bus into Southampton with minutes when we failed miserably to book an Uber 👍. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much.....the Wellmans 😊
