Our stay was awesome, and the location was 10/10

The only fault was one of the downstairs bedrooms had no windows, so it was hot and stuffy. They did have two fans though, so we were ok with it.

The property was very central. It was approximately 50 mths from the train station, pubs and shops. It was also within a two minute walk to the supermarket. We were very happy as we could walk to pubs, restaurants and attractions such as the famous Camden Markets and the Camden Lock waterway.

    Nothing was lovely short stay.

The family room was spacious and comfy with a nice seating area which had a view of the church. Dog friendly and the Pub had old board games available which we enjoyed playing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good quality and tasty. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The bathroom of my single room has a low ceiling so showering was slightly compromised.

Clean pub style accommodation in a small pretty village. All essentials were provided along with quality towels. Friendly staff.

Minor maintenance and cleaning issues; shower rose cracked, light in shower broken. Several bits of rubbish from previous guests under bedside cabinets.

Used to drink there 25 years ago when it was just a boozer. Period charm in abundance, comfortable bed, location and parking is great. Good breakfast menu and friendly staff.

The en-suite smelt of cooking (like old cooking oil/fish & chips) and the ceiling above the bath/shower was a bit low.

The village of Deddington was lovely. However, our room (7) overlooked the market square so was a bit noisy when people were leaving the pub at closing time.

It was super hot in our room, and no fan is the only down side however we opened the window and had a good nights sleep

The staff were super friendly and knowledgable about the local area, the property it’s self was a lovely pub with a nice chilled atmosphere, we stayed here with our dog and 2 month old baby

The bathroom facilities in particular need updating/repairs. The room was extremely crooked to the point that it was a bit awkward but it also had some charm.

Friendly staff and nice breakfast. The property has nice character.

Shower over bath - a shower cubicle would be better and the shower hose flew off the wall when turned on, towel rail missing in the bathroom, window blind was difficult to close, no drinking water in the room, pillows weren’t great, carpets on the landing a bit grubby.

Lovely management and staff, very nice breakfast, good ‘pub grub’ for dinner, handy car park right outside.

An enjoyable one night stay but in these very difficult times as with many other establishments things could have been better but I guess running costs do not permit. Its in the Cotswolds so I suppose its par for the course.

Location, staff service and cleanliness were first class. A nice comfy bed so a restful night.

The shower didn't have an angle connector to shower pole. Unable to angle it downwards and use as shower as soaked the bathroom. It was okay to use as a handheld shower. There was a heatwave during our stay, a free standing fan in the room would have been welcomed.

Location. Quirky 16th century pub. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. A few bedrooms , so other family members stayed for family wedding nearby.

The room was tiny with lots of character, the floor has subsided and was not level etc. I had to sleep on an angle to keep my head above my feet. The pub closed early on Sunday evening too, I was hoping to unwind after a busy day but last orders was 9pm.

Lovely area and country inn feel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Free parking outside the pub too.

Our bathroom could benefit from a few tweaks: we understand the proprietors have taken over fairly recently and will sort the minor issues shortly.

Had a very long and difficult trip down, having to leave my car at a motorway services after it broke down: a member of staff willingly offered to check us in when we arrived at 02.45! The proprietors and staff couldn't have been more helpful. It's a very old building, full of character Breakfasts were excellent!
