The bathroom was very cramped. The bed was only a single which should have been a double for that price. The bed was also situated where there was a gap with the wall which was not comfortable to sleep in at all.

The staff were lovely, especially the Night Manager . It was also great to have a cooked breakfast. The room was big but the facilities were not the best, although I appreciated the presence of a fan to keep one cool as well as the complimentary earbuds.

Not all but some of the staff left a lot to be desired. The night porter when we arrived on Friday 25th July was excellent.

The breakfast area. The carpets as your probably aware need replacing. They do smell as they are old. We stayed in room 15 and there were black hairs on the shower wall and is probably still there. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay.

We have to say, your staff are outstanding. Very friendly. Breakfast was lovely but don't understand why it can't be in the restaurant upstairs as it's empty over breakfast time. The breakfast area feels like a cafe and too cold. The staff there were amazing this morning though.

I found it very noisy because of the night club opposite. I talked to the staff and moved to a room the other side of the hotel. A peaceful night followed.

This hotel is dated and was a little tired and disappointing in some ways , the bathroom was a little dated too , would be nice to see a little TLC given and up dates here and there . Wall paper peeling off the walls etc , boken tile, tired and old fashioned , on arrival flowers dead in the entrance ( however they were changed by the time we came back ) The pool area smelt a bit on the second day,

The satff here are very helpful , Patrick stored my bike for me and the pool and gym hardly had any one in so it was mostly to our selves which was great. Food and drinks brilliant. The place was very clean. Staff very helpful.

Only one small towel in the bathroom. Ok for a solo traveller. It took ten minutes to get hot water in the shower.4th floor. Nearly gave up. Have to book breakfast when signing in. Breakfast café just round the corner from hotel

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Quiet and perfect location. With a "tight" car park.

The hotel is aging and housekeeping was below the usual standard

The staff are the heart of this hotel. My main reason for staying here is the location and the wonderful team who I feel would notice if I wasn't ok. This is a huge comfort for a single traveller.

    Disappointment with Annexe building
    • Leisure trip

We stayed in the annexe building a bit further down the street and we had issues with access as the card wouldn't activate the door to unlock. It took three attempts to finally get this sorted with us going back and forth. A little disappointing that no staff came over to the building to assist, although this may be because there was only one person on reception. The lady who cleaned let us into the room when we eventually got through the front door as they key didn't work on the room door. First impressions going through the front door of the building were that it was dark inside. Several random tables and chairs dotted around the centre core. The wifi connection did not work in the room only in the main entrance of the building so we never had access to wifi throughout our stay which was disappointing. There was an issue with breakfast, for some reason hotel had our booking as room only but we had paid for breakfast through booking.com. Unfortunately I will not be staying again if it in the annexe as it is overpriced for where it is from main hotel and no staff on site to assist with any issues.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Beds were very comfy and room was a good size for a triple room. Room was right on the street and there was some noise late evening. However ear plugs provided helped with this. Breakfast was lovely with an excellent choice available including continental and various cooked options. Joanne that served us breakfast was very helpful and told us not to worry when we were down as room only at the hotel but had booked with breakfast.
