The bed was a bit tight as it was a French bed. Also, the "mountain view" of our room was a bit of a stretch... It was more a parking lot view. But those are minor things.

We especially liked the staff. Everybody was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was extremely good. The whole vibe and decoration was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

I wish this place was on our doorstep so we could visit every week! There was nothing wrong with our stay.

We arrived late as there had been traffic hold ups. The hotel were extremely accommodating and couldn't be more helpful. The facilities are excellent, the decor superb. Although the hotel was fully booked, it was very quiet in the bedroom and you could have a fantastic night's sleep in the comfy bed (not like the chain hotels where every noise can be heard!). We ate at the hotel and the food was delicious and very well priced. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar was great, it was busy as it is a popular pub, but there was no waiting time. All staff were really friendly, took the time to make conversation with all the guests. Highly rate this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Very clean and cozy hotel. Family room was well laid out and well thought through. Beautiful views from the window. Hotel staff were very friendly and polite. Complimentary breakfast was on a lighter side, but warm options were available for additional pay. The restaurant here was great. Food was delicious with some interesting local options. Overall, the hotel is in great shape and very well managed.

We had a wonderful stay! The gentleman who checked us in was lovely, and breakfast was delightful. The hotel was quaint, but what truly stood out was its exceptional cleanliness. We also met a friendly and professional lady staff member who recommended all the must-see attractions. Overall, our stay was outstanding, with comfortable and spotless rooms that perfectly met our needs for a one-night stay.

The shower was occasionally problematic but there was plenty of warning that this would be the case. Lots of hot water and good pressure when it worked! Otherwise, the bath was fine.

Great comfy beds, good value for a family room. Lovely, quirky, Scottish decor! Fabulous restaurant (and bar) and a great breakfast. Do book in advance - very popular with locals. The lounge was spacious and comfortable. Friendly staff. This was a really lovely place to stay.

The location is quite remote, so you definitely need a car to get there. But on the other hand, this ensures a quiet stay.

The facilities are very nice and clean, very nicely decorated and pleasant to live in. The rooms are large, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast and bar were very good, but the most excellent is the restaurant, where the atmosphere is lively. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is available on the property. Ideal for a quiet stay and for long walks in nature.

This must be the very best hotel in the Highlands. Me and a friend were touring on motorcycles, and the location was excellent. Brilliant friendly staff, who were so welcoming. Lovely comfortable rooms. We dined on both evenings in the hotel restaurant...brilliant tasty food, and well priced. Would we stay at this hotel again.......absolutely YES

The breakfast included in the room rate is just toast, pastries, yogurt and cereal but you can pay an additional fee for a hot breakfast.

Beautiful old home with lots of character. It is set back from the lochs a bit but there are trails you can walk to some smaller lochs or you can drive to fort Augustus for access to Loch Ness.

Some might think it a bit far away from Fort Augustus but I liked that it was a little out in the countryside.

I loved this hotel as soon as I walked in. It was charming, cosy, welcoming with a nice touch of quirkiness. It’s surrounded by beautiful countryside and it’s a nice, close drive to Fort Augustus. There is a comfortable lounge area with lots of games and reading material readily available. It was great to also have the restaurant on site and the food was fantastic! The rooms were spacious, clean and full of charm. Breakfast was ample. I’m looking forward to my next stay there. Loved it.
