The room was very comfortable and small details were considered such as a a sleep sray for your pillow and ear plugs by your bed. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and you felt that nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, many choices and they catered well for my gluten allergy.

Unfortunately we were disturbed at night by a noisy guest. The hotel did their very best to make this right.

The handwash at the sink did not work. The view out of the window overlooking scaffolding and a brick wall. The fridge moving every time you opened or closed the door.

The hotel had character and had been refurbished well. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and responded quickly to requests and queries. The air conditioning device in our room on arrival on a very hot Friday afternoon was magic! The food was excellent too

Very limited parking on site, but there was free overnight parking in a carpark across the road 6pm-8am. The breakfast was lovely but only included limited hot drinks and you could only select a continental or cooked option. Having said this the staff were doing their best to be flexible with it

Very nice room with a comfy bed and given the warm weather they had added an air conditioning unit to make the room more comfortable. Small fridge to allow cold water in the room and some sweet treats for arrival. The pub area was great for chilling in the evenings and the food was lovely

Room had no air conditioning which made sleeping difficult. Service at the bar and restaurant was slow.

Charming old building, lovely atmosphere, comfortable rooms albeit hot and stuffy as no air-conditioning. Food was tasty at the restaurant.

The room was extremely hot (it was a very hot day). In the roof of the building, window only opened a tiny bit because of the safety limiter. Fan didn’t really help. I am not a fan of air con, but on this occasion it was really needed as the room was very uncomfortably hot
