Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff were very considerate and helpful especially by offering us an earlier breakfast time. On site parking. Heritage vintage main building with lovely dining facilities.

Cons: Some things weren’t quite as expected. The description made it sound like there was a jacuzzi included, but actually you only get access if you book a more expensive room. The jacuzzi that was there didn’t feel very well set up. The “private bathroom” wasn’t exactly private – the glass doors from the bedroom had a 30–40 cm gap at the bottom. The listing mentioned a coffee machine, but there was only a kettle you had to fill up yourself. There was also no wardrobe or storage space for clothes or luggage, just two hooks on the wall and only one chair, even though it was a double room.

Pros: The staff were absolutely lovely – really polite and helpful. The service itself was faultless. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very calm, which made the stay more enjoyable.

We stayed overnight, due to a local day event, and the staff were so lovely and the room was really fun. Bed was comfortable. We didnt use the jacuzzi bath as not enough time, but checkout times were really good. Breakfast was in the pub and was really good food. The grounds are lovely as well.

Food in the restaurant was nice but slightly over priced for what it was. Although spacious room it didn't have much storage for clothes.

The location was nice and only a 7 minute drive to Chilston Park for a wedding. The staff were very accommodating when we had an issue with our room on the first night around 11:30pm and the staff were able to upgrade our room(we originally booked the small double). We weren't waiting long for them to resolve our issue and get confirmation we could still stay there even though they were busy. The upgraded room was spacious, had a comfortable bed and clean bathroom with hot tub with jets and good pressure overhead shower. There were complimentary robes provided and water and chocolates in the fridge.

The decor is a little odd, our room had S&M themed pictures on the walls so is more aimed at hen parties or other party groups.

Lights on outside the room and curtains not black out. Tv remote did not work. Pillows and bed could have been comfier.

Friendly check in and car parking in front of room. Clean sheets and towels and generally the room was clean. Tea and biscuits complimentary in the room and felt secure and private. Nice and warm room.

nothing really, as I mentioned our carpet was a bit tired, but the four poster was great and the Sofa too

The Hospitality is great, the food is excellent, we had a meal the evening before and it was really good quality, we were upgraded and our room was very different with a Four Poster Bed, lovely sofa and bright colours, the only thing I would say is the carpet looked a bit tired, but was very clean and the extras, Chocolates, biscuits etc were very good , we would definitely stay again.

The spa bath didn’t work or heating and needed abit of a clean but was nice enjoyed our stay but I don’t think I would pay that much for a room again unless all facilities was working

If I had to say something - it was a shame the main chef was off the night we were there but we enjoyed dinner regardless.

Breakfast was really good and included in price. Staff were effective and friendly and the owner Joe made us feel really welcome - thank you Joe! Liked the uniqueness of the room :)

Tiny and misleading of spa use on booking.com. Young staff not particular friendly or welcoming. Just served.

The WiFi wasn't great and signal was poor. We had to ask for milk as our room didn't have any.the staff were quick and polite and couldn't have done much more for us.so thankyou x

The room had all the necessary facilities and lovely toiletries included plus shower cap hair band nail file kit. The room itself was quite dusty and I noticed a cobweb hanging from the ceiling. Also a small amount of black mold spots in the shower. Overall I was happy but felt attention to cleaning could have been improved. Breakfast was very good. No cereal but a very wide choice of cooked options.

I booked to stay here for a party being held near by. It was perfectly located for this.
