Old part of the property needs upgrading. Our room smelt damp / musty and had a very scruffy window blind which interrupted our lake view which we paid extra for. No curtains.The window cill needed a paint. The lift was very creaky and seemed to struggle which we didn’t use since as it seemed uncertain. The stairs were also very creaky. The bar closed too early at 10.30pm. Wc located immediately next to door in bathroom not ideal. Rooms only serviced upon request. Noisy air conditioning.

Buffet style breakfast wasn't great. The hot food wasn't hot, the fruit juice was a concentrate and the restaurant staff struggled to keep up with replenishing, food and crockery e.g. tea pots. These are observations and not complaints.

Location and view is great. Clean and good sized bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of options on the restaurant menu, which was also available in the bar. Dinner was good and not over priced. Reception, bar and restaurant staff were welcoming and interested in guests having a good time.

Car park very overcrowded but with no management. Awful parking by guests very frustrating and could be solved with some simple lines drawn to mark spaces correctly.

Parking, parking charges, original room offered at the rear of the property was very dark and a poor reflection of property’s standard. We would have been very unlikely to stay again if we hadn’t been relocated.

Location, standard of finish, breakfast, comfortable modern facilities. Requested to move rooms due to the room being offered having very little natural light, moved us without hassle.

Breakfast was okay. Not a great selection if you didn't want full English breakfast and coffee from machine only (and ran out of milk for lattes/cappuccinos)

Fabulous location and friendly staff, amazing power shower, really comfortable room. Dinner was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the crab croquette with mussels and curry sauce!

Terrible view from the room. Ladders and a felt roof. There was a wedding on the first night. So no option to dine in the restaurant. No pre warning about that. £25 for 2 drinks in the bar. Only had the 1 drink obviously.

Great location in the heart of Bowness. Fantastic breakfast.

The shower had a slight leak into the room downstairs, due to this we couldn’t have a shower the last two days, but once again the staff went out their way to provide us with another room so we still had access to a shower. We will be returning

Absolutely lovely hotel, staff were wonderful. Location is really nice. You can sit outside in the bar and have a drink whilst looking at the view. Breakfast was really nice aswell. All around a lovely weekend away
