They had functions on both nights we stayed which were a little intrusive as the guests were in the bar but it wasn't the end of the world.

Everything was fine, the room was large and more than adequate.

The double bed was quite small for 2 people. The small fan provided was not good enough for a hot summer night. Opened windows meant not a very quiet night.

Its in a nice setting but a bit dated. Breakfast was very nice.

Unfortunately our room was on the first floor to the side of the function room so it was very noisy on the Friday night with a party disco and went on until 12.30 am. The following night was a wedding function which although we could hear the music it finished at midnight so not as bad. Having booked in for 5 nights it would have been nice to have been given a quieter room. The other nights were very peaceful.

The Hotel is lovely and ideally located for the festival we had tickets for. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly nothing was a trouble for them and our room was huge. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and cooked perfectly.

We were unlucky. There was a wedding on the night we stayed and our room was on the ground floor. The wedding party were drinking and chatting until 3am outside our window. Being summer we needed the windows open to cool the room. It was therefore very difficult to sleep.

The hotel as a whole did not have much, if any, decoration on the walls giving a drab appearance inside. A marked difference from its exterior appearance, which was excellent.

Room was a good size and comfortable, if somewhat drab. The bar was open late.

A couple of seats needed a clean. Couldn't access t balcony from our room. Door was locked. Meringue looked n tasted shop bought not homemade n gooey in t middle as described.

While it's understandable that many hotels today face challenges in keeping prices low, this property still offers reasonable value. Some of the fixtures, especially in the bathroom, could benefit from a refresh, but they remain functional. Understaffed! One particularly hardworking staff member was managing multiple roles—checking guests in, running the bar, and attending to various other tasks throughout the evening. His dedication was clear, though it did result in some delays at the bar, where guests occasionally waited over 10 minutes to be served, even with only a few people present. This kind of staffing situation seems increasingly common in budget accommodation and these wait times were a bit longer than expected. That said, the staff’s effort and multitasking were commendable, and with a bit more support, the guest experience could be even better.
