The best thing was the affordability of the accommodation. I shared a bunk room with my daughter which was small but beds were new and all decorated recently. Breakfast was perhaps overpriced at £10 extra each since it was a limited choice and quality, but they did manage to offer a hot selection and it was convenient.

The hot water from the tap in the sink wasn't getting very warm. There were no individual lamps on the beds as you normally get in other YHA's but other than that it was what was expected for a budget friendly stay.

Excellent location, value for money for the night for a family room.

Booked Three singles beds, but got very small room with double bed and single on the top. For three adults was too small, but we managed as it was only one night. Would not stay more in that room.

Nice location, close to supermarket, free parking. Kitchen facilities

I've checked online to check their policy after I came back. And okay... It was their policy to allow transgender to stay. But it was a little odd that a transgender was staying in an all women dormitory... Overnight with no staff present overnight. I was okay with idea... But I could see some of the other dormitory residents were not entirely relaxed about it. Yes! Their is inclusivity. But you never know if a woman has suffered previous abuse before and what would normally be a safe woman only environment was now deemed as unsafe for them. No other dorm resident was asked by staff if it was okay - or if they needed to change rooms by staff. They were literally left to find out the situation themselves when they weren't up to room at night ready for bed. I'm sure the supreme court has said that safe areas for women should be gender by birth - not gender by choice. So I'm left with the question... Surely an all women dormitory should need classed as such a safe area?

Location excellent Cost brilliant Bed really comfy. Some of fixtures a bit dated and needing updating. Great cooked breakfast.

The reception is shut between 10am-5pm. We arrived at 4 pm and needed to check in and get to a concert almost an hour away, but we had to sit waiting. Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten our key as we would have been back after 10pm when it closes again.

Rooms were functional and comfortable. Loved the self-catering kitchen, really handy. Surprisingly quiet at night considering it is a hostel. The bed was comfy and managed a decent sleep for the 2 nights we were there. Location was brilliant. Less than 10 minutes to the sea front and shops. Tesco literally around the corner. Plenty of parking but does fill up quickly.

YHA’s are fantastic. Long May they continue. Very practical stay, easy to store bikes 🚲 . We did the Rebellion Way and Sheringham was one of the delightful stop offs.

The decor is tired but I guess youth hostelling is not as popular as it was 50 years ago.

Very friendly reception staff - let us upgrade our room since there were not many bookings that night. Member's kitchen and dining area was a good facility to have for own healthy breakfast. Bed in a dormitory for £22 is fair value for the room and hostel facilities

VERY noisey in the mornings - you ahve to be as quiet as at night, but in the morning ie 0700hrs, it seems to be fine to make as much noise as possible and slam doors, do yoga in the corridor and slam some more doors!

The showers could have been cleaner. The reception hours are quite limited. Was difficult to get in touch with the property as due to change in my travel plans, I had to check-in a day later, and messaged the property to inform them and to confirm if this was a problem, but did not receive a response. Also left a voicemail and did not receive a response on that either. Nothing major however, as the staff member at the reception was very approachable and kind when I did meet them.

Great location, value for money and comfortable stay.
