A strange smell when you come to the room but you didn’t notice after an hour + other guests are very loud until late in the night

The tv wouldn’t connect to the wifi, wasn’t specifically a problem for me as I had my laptop and the WiFi worked fine for that. Was hot in the room, would have loved a fan to be in there. Could do with some more plug sockets as I had to unplug the lamp to plug in the laptop.

Really great location for what I needed, lots of places to get what I needed right on the doorstep. Really comfy bed, bathrooms were always free for when I wanted to use them and very clean; bed was soooo comfy! Great that there was a little fridge in the room too. Also, very quiet, couldn’t hear any traffic etc.

The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours, but it did not disrupt my sleep

The room is clean and tidy, and it is secure. It is a bargain for the price, and I always found the shared bathrooms free when I used them. You have a small desk, fridge and TV in the room, with fresh towels and a place to hang your clothes. You can control the heating to suit yourself which I liked

The staff was very efficient and so helpful to us. The room was in a good position, so 15/20 minutes by bus to reach the centre. The toilet was clean.

The only downside was a shared bathroom, but it was very clean and as I don’t think there were many others staying the night I was there, it was always available.

Noise from guests in the neighbouring rooms (I didn't realise that there are many rooms available). Not clearly mentioned that it was in the basement (stairs were quite steep and a bit difficult to carry luggage) Noise from the washing machine close to the room (did not affect me much as I stayed for one night).

Easy to locate room (good public transportation links via bus and tube - bus stop in front of the building). Got the instructions via Whatsapp/messages with the passcodes. I did not realise it was in the basement but it's not a dealbreaker. The room was clean and exactly as shown in the photos. Good space to keep luggage, and a shared toilet/bathroom outside the door. Good amenities in the room. Drinking water available near the stairs. Good for 1 night stay - recommended for short stay.

The stairs were a little awkward because I don't have good mobility. A larger fridge in the room rather than the mini beer fridge would be welcome (as would a communal microwave).

The communiaction with the owner for entry details was excellent. The entry system was one of the best I have encountered, Gppd location for easy access to the best of Islington and beyond.
