How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNice modern studio in old sovjet style apartment block. Friendly host who speaks English
Hard to find location. Does not show correctly on booking map. Expect street noise by night from heavy traffic with container trucks. Location about 30 minutes walk from city centre.

Verified reviewThe apartment was neat and clean and the bed was comfortable.
Location wise it's at the far end of port, far from centre. Taxis were not easily available to arrive here. Maybe the host can give more information on local buses to arrive at the property from the bus terminal.

Verified reviewA small little apartment with the essentials you need for a short stay. Wifi is good and fast.
- A lot of mosquitos in the apartment - The hallway to the apartment is a bit sketchy - Regular sewage smell in the bathroom - the fridge freezes everything even though we turn it to the lowest temperature - the mattress needs a little bit of upgrade as it is sinking - shower head is broken, we used tape for a quick fix so that water wont’t leak - inside main door knob was broken and host said the last guest broke it, so she had no time to fix. But with all the holes on the door, the cigarette smell from the hall went in the apartment easily. So we have to use toilet paper to fill all the holes to block the smell to come to the room. -the washing machine didn’t work for the first 3 days of our stay, the host tried to arrange a master to come to fix it. But she just shew up the first time when the master came to the initial check (also she came to collect our accommodation money at the same time). When the master came back after 2 days to fix it, she didn’t show up. But the master left a mess after fixing the machine (water and dirt on the floor) we ended up wasting two mornings waiting for the master to come and clean the kitchen ourselves so that we could use it again. Not a very good use for travellers’ time. - it may be good for 1 or 2 nights stay, but not more than that

Verified reviewAlthough it's a 15-20 minute walk to the center, this apartment is very conveniently located and it's on a wide street with many historic buildings and great restaurants. The hostess is very nice and welcoming and you just let her know what time to meet you with the key. You have to climb a few flights of stairs, but you have a balcony that overlooks the street and trees. A very cool surprise is the beautiful artwork that is painted on the walls of the stairwell. Gives a very good vibe. There is screen on the windows to keep out mosquitos. Great water pressure, hot water, good wifi. I didn't cook while there, but it seems as though most things are provided. I did notice there was a sharp knife for cutting veggies, and meat, but no regular knives that are usually included in a set of silverware, which was odd. A previous review mentioned noise from the nearby port, but I didn't hear any noise from there at all. You will hear some traffic noise and people, but it wasn't bothersome. I slept with earplugs, so don't know if nighttime noise is an issue. This is a very walkable location and you'll find many sights and famous street art just a short stroll away. I very much enjoyed my night here. Madloba!
There are dark curtains in the bedroom to block out the light, but there is a door with a large glass panel separating the kitchen from the bedroom and the kitchen window has a slatted vertical blind, but no dark curtain. Light comes in from that kitchen window in the morning (even with the blinds closed) so it would be good to put a dark curtain on that door.
thank you.i am glad you were my guest🥰

Verified reviewQuite big apartment with cosy living room and a very nice kitchen, close to Poti centre. The landlord lady Ruso is a very welcoming host who even brought us more kitchen utensils we were asking for, the same evening (pan was missing) Washing machine in the kitchen available.
The bed room had an unpleasant smell of mould. Be aware of the port located at the rear of the apartment building, being noisy at night which we didn't mind at all. Don't be scared off from the building's staircase, inside the apartment it looks so much different😉
thanks a lot🥰 you were very nice guests🥰
