How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur second stay at this beautiful small and peaceful hotel with a very good restaurant. The highlight is the very clean and refreshing pool. It's a super green place with a beautiful view. Highly recommended.
A minor issue, but the shower makes the whole bathroom wet. Breakfast is good, but some more variety (several jams, cheeses etc. to choose from) would be nice.

Verified reviewThe location is gorgeous. A beautiful vineyard and nature around. We tasted several wines at this winery and they were the best, very balanced. The owners of this place are friendly, attentive and helpful in any way. Breakfast was very good, and our dinners were delicious. We highly recommend staying there.
A little space in the bathroom to accommodate necessities. There is not enough lighting above the vanity in the bathroom.
Dear Alexander, Thank you so much for your kind review! 🌿🍷 It was a pleasure to host you, and we’re glad you enjoyed the vineyard, the wines, and the food. Thanks also for your helpful notes about the bathroom — we’ll keep improving. We hope to welcome you back soon! Regards, Nino & Vakho

Verified reviewThis is an exceptional venue in a breathtaking location—set between two mountains, overlooking a valley, with only the sounds of nature around. It’s very quiet and peaceful, away from big roads. The room was comfortable, the amenities were adequate, and the bed was good. The restaurant, pool, and staff were all truly amazing. This is the perfect place if you want to spend 5–14 days simply relaxing, recharging, and letting your mind and body recuperate.
The room could be improved with a bit more space, a better shower, a small table, more storage for luggage, darker lighting options, and slightly better sheets. These are minor details and didn’t affect the overall experience.
Dear Yaron, Thank you very much for sharing such a detailed and kind review! 🌿 We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful location, our restaurant, pool, and staff, and that Babaneuris Marani gave you a chance to relax and recharge. You are right — in the Annex building the rooms are smaller, but we try to keep them comfortable and cozy. For longer stays, we recommend booking in the main building, where you can enjoy larger rooms, balconies, and breathtaking views of the mountains and valley. We truly appreciate your feedback and we hope to welcome you back for another relaxing stay! Warm regards, Nino & Vakho

Verified reviewIt's our third arrival at this hotel. Excellent large family room from which you can work in peace (good Wi-Fi). Small number of guests, quiet, calm, private. A comfortable separate pool for children and a second one for adults. There is a children's playground and a basketball court.
A small number of dishes on the menu
Dear Dmitry, Thank you so much for returning to Babaneuris Marani — it’s always a pleasure to welcome you back! 💛 We’re glad you enjoyed the family room, the quiet atmosphere, the pools, and the playground. Regarding the menu, we focus on offering only fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared daily in our kitchen. The food it's excellent, the people on the restaurant is very helpful at any time, from breakfast to late dinner. I've been working remote from there and the wifi is perfect! Congrats to Nino and their family for having this paradisiac place!

Verified reviewA Hidden Gem in the Heart of Kakheti At first, I didn’t expect much—this hotel isn’t widely known or heavily advertised. But from the very moment I stepped out of the car, I was genuinely impressed by how well-organized and welcoming everything felt. I visited on a hot summer day, and the yard was beautifully filled with lavender bushes and charming Georgian-style garden bowers. The hotel features a stunning veranda that overlooks the Alazani Valley—an ideal spot for a relaxing dinner with breathtaking views. Nestled just below the mountain range bordering the Babaneuri Nature Reserve, the setting is truly serene. I stayed in a deluxe room with a spectacular view of the valley. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with comfort in mind. A special mention must go to the cuisine. It was simply fantastic—far beyond what I expected from a regional hotel. Every dish was crafted with care and local ingredients. The hotel owner deserves great credit: he personally oversees every detail and brings true passion to the project. Our conversation with him was both warm and insightful, as he shared fascinating stories and updates from the region. It’s also worth noting how much effort he puts into sourcing ingredients locally, which adds a unique and unforgettable touch to every dish. If you're looking for an authentic Kakhetian experience with comfort, nature, and outstanding hospitality—this is the place.
Мy main concern was the staircase railings. They are extremely wide, with large gaps between the bars. We were traveling with 3- and 5-year-old children, and they could easily fit through the open spaces. When we climbed to the third floor and looked down, it felt like staring into an abyss. Small kids naturally hold onto the railings while climbing, and in this case, it felt mortally dangerous. We had to hold them tightly and guide them on the side opposite the railing to prevent any risk. I truly hope the owner considers adding extra partitions or safety bars to make the staircases safer for families with children.
Dear Irina, Thank you so much for your beautiful and detailed review. We’re very happy you enjoyed your stay — the views, the garden, the food, and the atmosphere. It means a lot to us that you felt the care we try to give each guest. It was a real pleasure talking with you and sharing stories. We’re also glad you noticed how much we focus on using local ingredients — this is very important to us. About the staircase: thank you for telling us. We understand your concern and take it seriously. We are already thinking about how to make it safer for families with small children. We hope to welcome you and your lovely family again soon! Verified reviewBabaneuris Marani is a beautiful estate surrounded by forest. Its very peaceful with a beautiful garden and a great pool. The balcony allows for a great view on the lower valley surrounding Telavi. The food was delicious as well were the wines. The owner and his family are very kind and the owner also explained the winemaking they do. They serve their own wines in the restaurant.

They have hiking places near by too. Unfortunately I only had a chance to try a very short 1 h hike, but there were options for longer ones. I recommend this place and would like to come back. Almost forgot to add that breakfast was super delicious.

Verified reviewBabaneuri Marani is the best place we have been to so far - and we have traveled a lot. The place, the winery, owners Nino and Vakho, the Alazani Valley, everything combines in an absolutely magnificent experience. There you could both relax by walking around the nearby village, or you could spend your time with Vakho and learn more about wine than you will be able to your whole life. We went there for the first time in 2022, and now we have traveled the world again to spend a couple of days there. This is truly a 10 out of 10.
