Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe room is cheap and therefore very simple, so a visitor should not have too high expectations. I slept in a small room with the double bed, even with the window open, it was still very warm, so I had to open the door to let some air flow through the room. This made it easier to sleep.
The host is very friendly, we had a very nice conversation, she helped me a lot with giving me directions to other places and even gave me several recommendations on what to visit in the neighbourhood. On top of that, she was also very hospitable by offering me some food, which was very tasty. The location is also great, you are surrounded by farms and it is much calmer than in the centre of the city.

GeorgiaLots of clutter - for my taste, but maybe this is what a farmhouse is supposed to be like...
Basic but clean room with comfortable beds and good clean bedlinen. The rest of the house is pretty basic with some areas a bit cluttered. The house is in a very quiet area, I loved the deep silence at night, and at the time when I stayed the air was filled with aroma of blossoming acacia, which was absolutely lovely. The host was very friendly and gave me some honey to taste, although i did not see any bees at the property...

NorwayThe kitchen needs a makeover.
A bit out of central parts, but still walkable distance. The hosts were hospitable and we could get fruits from the garden. They also washed my clothes! Some parts of the place is under reconstruction. It's a farmers place with a dog and chickens, it's a rough wooden floor, but it's also big areas outside the room and a terrasse to sit in the evening. We stored some luggage there when we had a two day trip to Tusheti, we stayed there before and after, and it's also a safe parking for motorcycle. Value for money!

ColombiaIt seems there is only one shower which can be problematic when there are many guests. There were ants in the room, but I suppose it's expected in a farm house.
This is a Georgian family home. If you would like the experience, it is totally worth it. I also recommend it if you like animals. There is an old cat (he was sweet with us). There are bees and rabbits as well.

United StatesI loved staying here. The guest house has a very nice atmosphere and the facilities are perfectly good, considering the price. I especially loved sitting on the balcony looking out into the garden and the mountains in the distance. It’s an easy walk from the bus station or to the old city. The hostess is very friendly.

United KingdomThe room was incredibly hot, there is no getting away from that and it would be a problem for anybody visiting in summer months. Several extended power cuts at the property in the 3 days I was there - not something you can blame the property for, but didn’t help things etc. Kitchen facilities basic but ok if a solo traveler on a short stay.
Nice rural location of the property with an authentic homestay feel to the place. Price is very cheap.

TurkeyAmazing night and village comfort. People who miss their village should visit for a good nights rest. There is an old piano that's not very off tune, playing that was a treat. Thank you for everything!

Netherlandsthe noise from myriad stray dogs and roosters in the village provided a night of broken sleep. The accomodation seemed to be a casual hostel and was not up to our cleanliness standards. They really need to fix up the WC and shower and make them more inviting. We never saw any of the animals pictured on the ad, not even the bees/honey. No food was offered; the mother of the family was away.
location was great - close to the town, yet with a rural village feeling. Beds were very comfortable! The hosts were kind.

RussiaWe have been booking through booking for 16 years. The worst housing I've ever seen. You can't stand it!The barn house is under construction or reconstruction. The walls are plastered with streaks, not painted. The floors are made of untreated boards with splinters. There is no comfort. The hostess unceremoniously enters the rooms when you are there, and without you...When we were getting ready in the morning, the hostess also went to our rooms all the time..They settled an outsider to us, who went to where our things were, without us.There were a lot of us.For the whole house. They themselves allowed early check-in at no extra charge, and then tried to extort an additional fee..We do not recommend staying at this establishment. It's horrible.
Availability of warm blankets and hot water. A good page administrator. It has nothing to do with housing.
