How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe view from the room was beautiful, and the homeowners, Mrs. John and Mr. John, were very kind and welcoming.
The only toilet was located upstairs in the kids' room—there was no attached bathroom for the master bedroom, which was small and poorly maintained. The owner's son was rude at times and even suggested we cancel our booking and leave. The property is quite far from the city, so we had no choice but to stay the night. Overall, the facilities were substandard. There were stray dogs around the property, so stepping outside felt unsafe. The stairs to the kids’ room were old and rusted, and both rooms had no door locks. Additionally, the balcony was unsafe for children.

Verified reviewThe facility was not as per our expectations, and we didn't stay there. The owners were nice people, but the facility was not clean and convenient for a family to stay. The photos don't show the real picture.
Really they not arrived and we cancel reservation, but charged online financial. So not happy and telling false. All our visitors are happy to be here and they mostly are comebacking every year if visiting Georgia, from whole world. Thanks

Verified reviewImagine, you can breathe pure mountain oxygen and feel yourself like a very welcoming guest at countryyard of Georgian grandparents. Wifi is working, I can take my remote work without problem. You can walk to a waterfall, to canyon, to the forest, read books, eat yammy home good quality food, see a lot of stars, at evening you can take a wine and sit near fire on nature. Amazing experience of all of it. Such a lovely place, I'll be back

Verified reviewThe location was great — very peaceful. We booked both breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious and homemade. The host was friendly and kind, and she gave us tips about local sights and how to get there. The place had a homely atmosphere
There were a couple of things that could be improved. We stayed at the end of April, and it was quite cold inside the house. Also, our room didn’t have a private bathroom — we had to go down to the basement to use the toilet. However, this is a typical countryside house, so overall, we had authentic village experience.
Some rooms have shared bathroom so price is very cheap there. When you book this room you had information about that. There was working heater inside your room. In Georgia 27 april no one heating outside area of building. also you was sitting on terrace whole day. Authentic 4 floor village house :) P. S. Thanks for another positive comments...

Verified reviewBeautiful location. Difficult to get to but if you want mountains it's perfect.
The place was nice but the owners were a bit misleading. Perhaps a language barrier or something however, the food is a large cost and they don't tell you this until after you've eate. We were asked, "we're just about to make some food will you join?" and thought it was just a welcoming gesture. Upon joining lots of food was brought to the table as if dining. Then afterwards the owner said "that's 35Gel please pay in the morning". Upon waking up the owner then said it will be "50Gel for the meal". Additionally, the cost of the property is paid in cash and with the meal we didn't have 85Gel on hand and the nearest ATM was 40km away and they don't accept card so we had to escort the owner to an ATM so we could pay him. Was an interesting one. Nevertheless, the accomodation was pretty nice (middle of nowhere, comfy beds and lots of bedding) for the cost not factoring in the food issues. The bathrooms smell though.
you're just saying false! acomodation price was 35 lari. food for two person 50 lari that I tell you before dinner and it's mentioned on booking too. also we don't have language barrier. guest house is near central road... next time if will hungry tell me and I will give you some food for free... I don't want to tell people here what you do there and what a person you are...

Verified reviewThis experience blew our mind. We were greeted by a friendly Georgian local at the door who showed us all of the facilities of the Guest House. The breakfast and dinner that is provided at this location is a must, it was phenomenal. Because this location is isolated, the stars at night were beautiful and unlike anything I've ever seen. We went in the beginning of December so it was fairly code, but there was a nice fireplace and limited hot water to warm up. There is also a sauna, however, this costs extra. It was also very close to a few waterfalls as well as an hour walk to Okatse canyon.
The location was very hard to find, and will need proper planning to get to. Please make sure not to travel at night because the road to this location has no lights and the road is very narrow. Me and my partner made the mistake of taking a bolt, however, to traverse the mountain that gets there, it is much better to take the bus, which runs twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Contact the host before hand to plan how to get this location. Also, the hot water only ran for around 10 minutes, so make every minute count. Exploring around the cabin was nice, but can be scary as some of the dogs that we encountered were territorial, but they don't attack if you keep your distance.

Verified reviewnice hostess, allowed us to use the barbecue and kitchen. Nice view of the mountains. There is a little-known beautiful waterfall nearby.
The walls in the room are cement with a strong smell of construction. The shower room is on another floor and you need to go up the fire escape. The plumbing is very old, everything leaks, the water is only warm. The mattresses are old with compressive springs, the bed linen is synthetic, it’s like sleeping in a plastic bag. There are no handrails on the terrace, very dangerous. Everything in the house is very old or in the process of renovation. If you look at the rating on booking, then you should have come here more than 10 years ago.
If not liked why you booked and stayed 2 more days?! 😁

Verified reviewIt is a perfect place for peaceful rest located in a very picturesque place near a small waterfall. In summer the fresh mountain air if full with smell of flowers. The hosts are very friendly and experienced in welcoming guests from all over the world. The hotel itself is small and good for resting with group of friends. If you are into hiking or trekking you will find a number of interesting routs from here.
Hardly any disadvantages.

Verified reviewThe hosts were well meaning and kind. Lovey balcony and great location to explore the local waterfalls and canyons!
A few things that were advertised as included in the price were not. Namely there was no ping pong table, or free sauna (cost an additional 70GEL), shower was cold and problems with water supply to bathroom, no free shuttles as advertised.
You should also pick up the pilot at the airport for free. I think now, why I take money from you for room too?! next time if you will visit, I will buy tickets for you shuttle...everything must free and we are crazies here 😁
