Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

In Ushguli, because of an old and creaky bed, we left very early in the morning and ended up arriving in Mestia much too early. I have worked in restaurants and cafés before, so I know very well how annoying it can be when guests arrive before opening hours. However, it rained on the way, and we were quite exhausted. So, we asked Tea, who was busy cleaning, if an early check-in might be possible. With the warmest smile, Tea kindly asked us to wait until the cleaning was finished and offered us tea and coffee. In that moment, all our fatigue seemed to melt away. During our stay, we often asked questions and made requests that could have been bothersome, but Tea always responded with a smile and great kindness. I have traveled to many places around the world, but such a warm experience is truly rare. She made us want to return to Georgia someday, and when we do, I hope to give her something better in return—because words alone cannot express our gratitude.

Where to start. The guesthouse is a wonderful value and perfectly located in Mestia, close to everything. This is a true guesthouse—the owner Tea and her family live on the ground floor. The star of the show, Tea, is nothing short of a gem of a person. She welcomed me with open arms and always went above and beyond. I asked about laundry and she insisted on doing it herself (and for free). One day I came home after a long day of hiking, she heard me upstairs talking on the phone and, completely unprompted, brought me freshly baked homemade bread. She seamlessly organized my marshrutka back to Tbilisi and a taxi (her husband) to Mazeri. The day I left, she sweetly woke up early to say goodbye with a packed lunch in hand and a big hug. She genuinely cares about her guests and it really shows! When I return to Mestia, I know where I will be staying!

SpainNothing to say. Everything was nice. Thanks for your kindness and your lovely guesthouse. We slept like babies. So quiet. Other guests were very quiet. Thanks!
Perfect location, you can start the walk to the cross of Mestia and the lakes from this guesthouse. And one hour drive to Ushguli too! Worthy to visit too! There are lots of guesthouses in Mestia, but this one was really special. We felt like home, it was cozy, warm and nice. The owner is really friendly, kind, generous and professional, she also can speak perfect English, communication was great. They have created also a nice space to see the mountains and have coffee, lovely views. Beds, sofas and furniture comfortable. WiFi, shower were fine too! There are parking places in the same street. From this house you can see the towers. There are nice cafes, shops, supermarkets and restaurants near the house too.

We had the most amazing stay thanks to our incredible host! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — from organizing rides to sharing local tips and tricks that made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. She was always checking in to ensure we had everything we could possibly need. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made us feel at home, and we were honestly sad to leave. Highly recommend staying here — you’ll be in the best hands!

United KingdomNothing - super cute. The wet room may be tricky if you’re very tall but no issue for us. They have other rooms in the main house which are different / larger for anyone needing more room.
This was so lovely. I stayed in one of the A frame “cottage” rooms for 2 nights with my 6 year old. The family was awesome at every turn and we loved staying here. The cottage is super cute with a wet room. The water temperature and pressure was great. We had two breakfasts here which were amazing. We also had our laundry done for no extra charge. We were offered a free ride to the cable car.

IsraelWe stayed at Data Guesthouse in Mestia and immediately felt like we found our home in Svaneti. Tea is a wonderful woman with a huge heart, who runs the guesthouse with her lovely family. The location is great – close to the center, yet quiet and with a beautiful view. From the very beginning, Tea truly touched our hearts. She took care of everything we needed – and we had quite a few logistical requests – all with kindness, joy, and fair prices. We genuinely felt like we had a local “mom” looking after us, which made our stay warm, peaceful, and memorable. Tea – we love you and are deeply grateful! 💛

IsraelWe loved everything :)
Couldnt recommand enough!! Data's was our first destination in Mestia, and our last- 2 nights overall. We were super thankful since the owner helped us like a second mom. As soon as we arrived she helped and answer like a relative, not a stranger. After being in the mountain, we had an insident and thiya was helping us right away (as a local she managed the way we couldnt) , while the places we stayed at afterwards didny care at all... To sum, we love true hospitality and try to give our money to whom who deserve it, and in this case we found (and we say that after a week here) the kindest place in Svanety.

SpainI can't think of anything we didn't like about Data Guesthouse, it's a 10 out of 10!
We stayed in a few guesthouses in Svaneti while doing the Mestia - Ushguli trek and this was by far the best stay of them all. Tea went out of her way to make us comfortable, making us delicious breakfasts, lunchboxes and snacks. Her recommendations about the hikes, places to eat and stay were spot on. She kindly kept our luggage while we did a 4 day hike and then had it delivered to Ushguli. She lent us the hiking poles, which were very useful on muddy trails. The room was comfortable, clean and large, we could make our own tea and coffee.

The guesthouse is located in a quite street just off the town's main street. The large communal balcony has great view of the surrounding towers and mountains. There is a small kitchen with fridge, coffee and tea. The breakfast is superb! Thea is a great host and helped organize many things around Mestia including our stays in the Mestia-Ushguli trek. Look no further!
