How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe bed was comfy and its near the tower in Ushguli. The owners are really friendly and kind. I had some bad luck and arrived on the day of funeral, so unfortunately I could not have dinner or breakfast.
After showering the floor stays wet for a long time, so I would recommend to bring flip flops.

Verified reviewLocated in a really cool part of Ushba area- quiet and with a very high concentration of Svan towers. Historic sites right around the corner. Our room was comfortable and spacious, the bathroom good, and the host was helpful. She knew more English than probably any other host we've had in Georgia. Though still only basics, she definitely knew everything needed to communicate about our stay, and provided a more detailed check-in than most properties. Food was good.
Thank you :)

Verified reviewLocation is nice and quiet. Close to the bus stop. The house and the rooms are comfortable enough for the price you pay. Luca, the young man was very nice and did his best to help us with for example the WiFi code and hair dryer.
They canceled my second night just before I arrived. Then the lady was trying to push us to buy taxi tickets for 8am. I walked 22,5 km in one day and was exhausted, so I wanted to sleep till checkout time. The lade started shouting and waking us up at 7am. Then she did her best to kick me out as early as possible asking me to go out od the room. Not a very nice experience. The other thing was the toilet. The water kept running and making noise, which made it difficult to ignore.

Verified reviewI spent 3 nights in this cozy guesthouse run by a very welcoming family. The location is fantastic, in the center of the World-Heritage part of Ushguli. It got cold at night but there were enough blankets and the hot shower worked well. The food was simple, but delicious and perfectly fine for me. The wifi also worked well.

Verified reviewClean, warm rooms. The guesthouse is separated from the main premises and is quite new. There's a heater in the room, and plenty of blankets so I have no complaints of the cold. The owners are very friendly also. The location is in a really beautiful area of Ushguli. Note that the Google maps location is not correct, use the location pinpoint through booking.com
For an extra 50 gel you can include breakfast and dinner which tasted great but was a little small. Definitely convenient to have food options available during the off peak season though 😊. Especially not having to walk out in the cold to get food also. All in all a great stay I highly recommend

Verified reviewI am not sure if other accommodations in the village are better, but it was really cold in one of our two rooms. Breakfasts and dinners are overpriced and small portions.

Verified reviewIt is very easy to feel comfortable with the lovely owners Nato and Emsa. They are very smiling and asked me often if everything is good. The room space is not too big so that it is cozy and the heating works well. It's warm here even in the cold winter nights. Also in the separated bathroom which is just beside the room, it's warm. The shower could be a bit stronger but ok for all other facilities I find here: washing machine, shared kitchen with the owners, heated dining room with sofa. Electricity was working during my stay. They have a friendly dog named Ruby. In the kitchen you might meet Emsa or Nato and have a small chat. They speak little English but somehow we managed to understand each other, if not Google helped. I really enjoyed my time here in beautiful Ushguli.

Verified reviewnice place, great hosts and amazing food, comfy beds
wifi was not perfect, village dogs barking whole night long, also i wanted to go out at night to look at the starts, but at the sight of the hosts dog (a big fella) i changed my mind, i don't think i would be able to come back in. the place lacks some attention, there were quite a lot of things broken, missing, like the toilet flush cover, the shower curtain etc. not enough to ruin your stay, but i didn't feel like you were taken care of properly

Verified reviewWe truly loved our experience at this guest house, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. They were incredibly kind, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. From offering helpful tips about the area to engaging in warm conversations, they made us feel like part of their family. The guest house itself is nestled in a charming village with breathtaking views, which made our stay even more memorable. The combination of the beautiful surroundings and the warmth of our hosts made this a truly special experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would love to return.
In this small village, there were occasional power outages that affected the entire area, causing temporary loss of electricity, mobile network, and data. Thankfully, the outages didn’t last long
