Reviews of GVC New Gudauri Mountain View

Had an amazing stay at the apartment. The space was great, spotless, and well-equipped, with a comfy bed, a great kitchen, and stunning mountain views. The host was fantastic, highly recommend—can’t wait to return!

The apartment is located directly in the “center” of New Gudauri - a town specifically built to be a winter resort. The location close to the lifts is definitely a plus. At the same time this means it is directly located at the apres-ski options - a handful of bars nestled in the bottom of New Gudauri apartment blocks - means you are in the middle of the buzzing rave music.

In general the apartment is ok. It is a one room apartment with a double bed and two so called sofa beds. Bedding sheets were prepared for two, we booked for four. Asking for it, further bedding was provided in the evening finally. The kitchen is equipped with plates, cutlery and some pots - it is ok, at a minimum level but not great and some things are broken, cups were dirty when we arrived and there is only one drying rack inside the cupboard, which was not cleaned for a long time apparently. The bathroom has a shower , unfortunately the holder for shower head was broken, the drain in the shower doesn’t work properly . The WiFi service didn’t work reliably and the described streaming services on the tv are not available or working. The ski depot was available but we didn’t receive any indication about the cupboard nor the key. Asking for it for a first time , we were told we can leave it at the rental ski service. Asking for it a second time we were told the previous tenant lost the key - which we would expected to have been solved and replaced before the arrival of new guests. The described property’s facilities like sauna and swimming pool are not available in the apartment building, the pictures are misleading. Overall the stay was ok, but for renting it out to international guests some improvements are needed . And the description should be corrected and more clear about the local circumstances.

Service, facilities and essentials

Room size was good as well, plenty of space in the larger room for 4 people and just enough in the room for three. Alexander was great at coming to bring you the keys and get you into the room.

When booking this you are allocated into different blocks so, it is hard to tell when you are going to be located. The blocks can vary from a 5 min walk to the chair lift to 15. A lot of amenities were not in the rooms either that was listed on the site. So best to take everything yourself.

Cooking equipment like a pan wasn't good, The location wasn't "ski to door" There is no gym in the building even though there are images in the description Sofa-bed not big enough for 2 kids Expectations didn't match the reality

This is pure SCAM. They want payment in advance (avoiding booking.com systems) and they have reason for it. Location is pure lie. Spa, pool, or gym? Ski to door. You get non of that. They will tell you, there are spa and gym in the town. Just 400m hard walk through busy road with no sidewalk. With that approach any property in the town can list that they have spa. Also just 400m anyone can carry the skis, so why not say it's ski to door, right? When we complained that we felt cheated we just got printscreens with maps, that it’s not THAT far and we shouldn't be lazy and just walk it. Room is overheated and you can’t regulate that. Electric socket in kitchen is broken (and very dangerous) because “people just before you did that” - sure, I can bet it will be the same next year. No cleaning, one toilet roll for a week. Apartment for four is a joke. It's just one rather small room, so two people is an absolute max. Nobody can have good sleep on that sofa, plus it’s way too small for two adults. Breakfast like spa or gym is for extra pay and far far away through the busy road. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We have to book separate room for the kids IN THE SAME BUILDING, which was much better, but different renter. But for third of the price!!! And they advertised they are in Twins and no spa or gym. This listing is an absolute joke. Worst accommodation I ever been in and I slept in slums.

I like that the property is adjacent to the mountains, and I had a great view from my balcony!

I liked everything about the property, but there was limited information provided to guests about the government minivan schedules and no proper information center. It would be great if assistance was offered before arrival, as tourists may not be aware of these details, and private cabs can be extremely expensive.

Good location

They don't have a central heating system, only give us a room heater which is not enough, The floor was so cold. The mattress was not comfortable it was so soft you couldn't sleep at least the owner should change it to a spring mattress.

This place is located close to the Gudauri gondola and it's in the same building as the only working restaurant in summer. We also liked that this place had a powerful hair dryer and it also had a Wi-Fi repeater connected to someone's Wi-Fi router

- The place doesn't feel new because of certain imperfections such as a peeling door coating in the kitchen, a number of slightly swollen laminate tiles, and unpleasant smell after we checked in - it could be cleaned better - rugs were dusty and the surface of bedside tables was not cleaned properly - we saw a cockroach in the shower once, I guess it came from a water pipe - the mattress is way too soft

The apartment is wonderful and has everything I highly recommend it
