Owner is really nice and helpful person. Room was also nice and clean. We have everything we need. Supermarkets super close the the hotel

During the night it can be a little bit noisy. And for the bus terminal it is a little bit far away.

    privacy, clean kitchen,

too many fines sign without any smile :) looks like a prison all fines are 500 GEL very funny! no powre outlet in the common area. Not enought space if you want to work with laptop. I think the whole foton bed room should be covered by AC not fan.. It's an easy job. The staff are too serious!

Perfect cleanliness everywhere. Well-groomed, everything is lovingly organized. The best hostel I've seen.

It's located on the 3rd floor of an old building. If the items are heavy, it can be difficult to lift them. I didn't see an elevator.

Staff was very kind and helpful. It is a great idea to build individual cubes, with enough space, as you have you own privacy.

Very clean, staff is very nice, having a capsule room is super, very comfortable, normally I would have stayed less but I liked it so much that I postponed my plans.

It would be nice if the kitchen was a little cooler.

    Good location, clean.

If you enjoy being surrounded by threatening signs with random fines (500 lira for touching a cabinet, 200 lira if you forget to rinse a spoon), then this is your dream hostel. The atmosphere wasn’t friendly — the staff (a large guy who often walked around bare chested) made it quite uncomfortable, especially on the day we checked out. On top of that, they even charge a fee just to leave your luggage after check-in - when we needed to retrieve it later on it seemed like the biggest annoyance to the guy. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

    Property response:

⸻ We are disappointed by your unfair review. No guest has ever been fined personally — our house rules exist only to ensure order and respect among all visitors. Regarding luggage storage, this is a standard paid service in hostels across Europe, including the Czech Republic, so it should not come as a surprise. In fact, we assisted you twice with opening your locker, which shows that our staff were helpful, not the opposite. As for your comment about clothing: during 41°C heat, it is normal for staff to work without a shirt. There is no dress code in our hostel, and this should not be interpreted as unprofessional. We always strive to keep the hostel clean, safe, and well-organized. It is unfortunate that instead of appreciating these efforts, your feedback chose to misrepresent the reality.

Well-equipped, clean, modern hostel. Great for a stopover if you're passing through Kutaisi. I could park my motorbike on the footpath next to the entrance with CCTV, locals also said the street was safe. Sleeping pods were comfy, I'm 1.88m and fit in the bed. For the price, you can't beat it.

There are good hostels and then there are “best-in-town” hostels – the kind you always return to every time you’re in town. For me, that’s Mandaria Hostel in Kutaisi. I’ve stayed here several times and tried most room types – capsule, studio, apartment, two-bed room – and each one was comfortable and spotless. The hostel is very well managed and exceptionally clean. David, the owner, is always around and genuinely helpful. He makes sure you have what you need and is very solution-oriented. Want to stay longer or need a private room to get some work done? Just ask – he’ll find a way. Of course, he also has great tips for Kutaisi and the area. Location is great, even if it's not right in the center, especially if you arrive by bus – shops, markets, and the central bus station are all in walking distance. Youth Park is next door; I enjoyed my morning coffee there and planned for the day. Getting around is easy: the city bus stop at Youth Park takes you directly to the city centre (Colchis Fountain), and you can catch minibuses to Batumi, Tbilisi, Martvili (Canyon), and other destinations from the central station. Showers are spacious, clean, and have good water pressure. WiFi was fast and reliable; I worked remotely here without issues. David even provided a desk and office chair in my room, which was a huge plus. Things to consider: – Not all rooms have AC (some do), but all capsules have moving fans directly above the bed. Even in the hottest days, this was enough for me. You can’t expect AC and a pool for this price. – Capsules are in a dormitory, so, as anywhere, there can be background noises (like snoring). If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs (as you should to any hostel) or buy some at reception. Big plus: phone calls are not allowed in the dorm and David makes sure this rule is respected. For calls, just step out to the common area or go to the park – that’s what I did. When I’m in Kutaisi, this is where I stay. Simply best value for money.

    Thank you so much 🍷

The location is super convenient—if you’re taking a shuttle from Tbilisi to Kutaisi, you can get off directly at the crossing and walk to the hostel. The manager is an efficient guy who quickly showed me around the hostel. I stayed in a private single room—it was basic, with just a fan (no AC), but even in July, it didn’t feel hot. The bathroom was clean, and the price was very reasonable. Recommended!
