How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI had a really nice stay at Hostel Temuri. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the place felt like home. My room was clean and comfortable, and the common areas were cozy and well kept. Temuri and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — always ready to give local tips or help with anything I needed. The location was also great, close to the city center and easy to get around.

Verified reviewOwners were nice, and tried their best speaking english for us. Day 2 breakfast was delish with a huge, yummy lobiani which the lady wrapped up quickly for us to takeaway as she was late and we had to catch the train. A nice walk down to city centre, a wee bit of uphill to get back but easy as. Cute old-school grandma decor. Ok for a short stay if you don't mind feeling like you are staying in someones house. Room was clean. Please note that you must pay in cash! Booking.com does not make this clear.
We were shown 1 shelf for us to use in an entire fridge and freezer; the rest of it was crammed with the owner's food. The place outside and in was cluttered with things and with cleaning products left out. Slippers and jandals left in the room. Unsure whether the kitchen was advertised but the stove and microwave didn't work. Breakfast on day 1 was very disappointing - salty cucumber slices, weird, oily "french bread", tasteless "cupcakes". 1 tea bag each for the whole day. - Day 2 made amends. The beds weren't very comfy, the pillows definitely weren't - but we found out that was a trend across the entire country - massive, heavy, hard brick pillows. Linen was icky polyester. Very loud neighbours in the next rooms and from the neighbours until at least 11pm each night. We were 1 adults and 2 kids - the camp stretcher sunk in and was shoved in the kitchen. No sign of the advertised restaurant and kids playground.

Verified reviewThe price was good, decent breakfast included. Alongside the lady who owns the place was friendly and helpful.
The furniture was very old and dingy, also the room had no working A/C so it was very hot inside. The owner doesn't speak English and it is hard to communicate with her. At night the exit to the street was closed with the lock. Hard to go out/come back if you want to enjoy night life.

Verified reviewI had the pleasure of staying at this delightful hostel run by an incredibly kind and generous lady. My experience was nothing short of amazing, and I’m grateful for the warm hospitality I received. The hostel itself is superbly maintained, offering a clean, cozy, and welcoming environment. Every morning, I was treated to an amazing breakfast that was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It was the perfect way to start each day. Despite the language barrier, the owner went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic stay. Her kindness and willingness to help were evident in every interaction. She made every effort to communicate and make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my time at her property. Her dedication to her guests' well-being is truly commendable, and her genuine care made a lasting impression on me. I left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for her hospitality. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning in the future!

Verified reviewThe host family were incredibly friendly. They don't speak much English but google translate helped and they were so helpful in every way they possibly could be. They were so warm and welcoming and really made our experience a wonderful one. The breakfasts were so so good, homemade and homegrown Georgian food. You can tell they put their heart into their place and customers. It really was a special stay!
Nothing to be honest- if you want a luxury bathroom then this is not for you but it was very clean still and provided us with exactly what we needed!
